New GWH avatar: Vote!

Since I joined the forum I've had the same avatar - the first Wood Elf I painted since getting back into the hobby.

I feel like it's time for an avatar update, partially to acknowledge the move to the Council, and also because I'm coming up on my 1000th post. So, between now and post #1000 I'm going to paint a miniature that will become my new avatar, and you fine people get to vote on which model it will be. I've listed out the models I have already bought, as well as a "Something Else" category - if you vote for that, make sure and comment on what you think it should be and I might consider buying it.

Wardancer, most definitely! A model with great energy and flair, lots of flash and skill. And it should be the officer, fitting to your new standing!!

Out of the options listed I went with Battle Standard Bearer. I think it's the most fitting in regards to your promotion and the reasons behind it. In recent times I've noticed you've attempted to try and get the ball rolling on updating the venerable tacticas on this site and inject some fresh thinking into the strategy section, like a Standard Bearer waving around the flag trying to rally the troops. Plus as I recall one of the other reasons you were promoted was because of a need to cover the site at times when the existing council of Elders couldn't, almost like you're now carrying their personal heraldry (quite an honour that is!).

But I also agree with Allendor. It's your avatar, you should be the one to decide it and it should be what represents you personally.

I've had the same avatar forever, on every forum (except Flames of War and The Waaagh). Just change it up, put a santa hat on it during Christmas, that kind of thing. Maybe something wicked comes your way and it will be clear in a bit.
