Wood Elf Drawings
I found this on my computer a few days ago, and it was supposed to crown the front page/cover of the All-Elven WebMag we tried to make a looong time ago. It took me quite a while to figure out who's it really is, but it is Anardakil's!

Also, scrolling down the old WebMag forum, I found this link to Mettare's orion:

I thought these should be shared with the world.

Re: Wood Elf Drawings
Those are very nice, thanks for sharing Nag!
The Treeman's face reminds me of an Orcy head. Love the Gobbo.
I've never really liked Orion, but on the drawing/painting he's looks better.

Re: Wood Elf Drawings
Yup, those two, green drawings are indeed my doing
I'm glad you like them. I personally like the dryad best, but the treeman and gobbo drawing is probably funnier one.

Re: Wood Elf Drawings
Nice booty on the dryad! We usually just see the vicious war-aspect of the Dryads, so seeing something sensual and seductive on a dryad is a great change. After all, Dryad fluff talks about them spending most of their time in a female, sylvan elf-form, and using that to seduce trespassers. I would love to see more of that artwork made available, since all we usually see is the angry face-eating species of Dryad .

I drew a picture of a Dryad in her...other aspect trying to seduce a small group of Imperial soldiers. It was really bad and I...well...erm...would rather not diplayit on the internet. And I have no scanner.

Re: Wood Elf Drawings
Sounds great. Some of my favorite examples of GW artistic direction are the concept sketches for the Wood Elves. The Asrai have such a strong visual identity, something that's primal, elegant, and powerful. Seeing different interpretations is always an amazing thing, and sexy Dryads sound like a fun idea.Anardakil wrote:Tethlis: Yeah the booty's cute isn't it? So you want more seductive dryads? here's a WIP (I'm planning of putting a tree in the background) of a WD beheading a Beastman that I made a week or so ago...
Hope you guys like it
BTW FYI concerning your naked dryads check the top right corner of pg. 69 (no kidding, eh!) of your WE AB to see what I think is a topless dryad (in elven form)
P.S. like I said I don't have a scanner so a digital camera will have to do!!

Thinking the same thing, and making use of my crappy conversion skills I converted a model into a half-transformed branchy, still smiling but getting ready to attack, here's a photo:Tethlis wrote:Nice booty on the dryad! NIce. Very seductive/welcoming. The branch held behind her back is great!

Re: Wood Elf Drawings
Those are pretty nice Jak3_dude. I like the movement the drawing's got.
I really like that seductive dryad Takeda. Excellent concept! Like a pretty lady holding a knife behind her back Oh and is she wearing panties? sort of looks like that to me

I totally agree. The wood elf artwork and concept art is stunning. Especially that of the dryads.Tethlis wrote:Sounds great. I'd love to have some member-made drawings in a banner or ad-banner one day. If anyone got time, feel free to make something and we'll see what we can do.
