My Wood Elves so far...

Post by narzil »

hey,

having recently bought the army deal and druelling over the models, i decided to convert a few bits and bobs..

the army colours are beiges, turquoises, blacks and browns.

here is a link to a few of my conversions...more on the way!

waywatchers and my eagle lord on the way!

I like your painting, but the last picture is not working and the 4th one doesn't have much to do with warhammer... I like the paintjobs though so keep up the good work.
I'm to lazy to type my name at the end of each post so here goes: Chris. And please visit my favorite website creating a new warhammer army by visiting my profile.

The Horses looks pretty good. They have the Pale Effect so that's nice. And the Idea of Converting Treebeard(if that is the Treebeard model) into a Treeman. The Owl just tops things off.

Can't wait to see some actually Wood Elves though :P

I do like them, but I'm not a big fan of the colour scheme.

Good painting, the horses look nice imo, but the colour scheme has yet to turn me. (we really need to see more models)

That Treebeard conversion looks good, and the paint job on the horses is nice... but, I think you could really improve your horses, and other models, if you deflash them and fill any gaps on them with greenstuff (the line going down the center of your horses makes if obvious how they were assembled).

Try edging one half of the horses body with GS before you put the model together, then place your glue in the pegs (or holes) in the center of the horses inside. when you put the body together, the GS should seep out slightly. Take a sculpting tool (or a knife) and scrape out any remaining GS to make the model look like it's a single piece, and not pieces.
