Cool, that cheers me up. I've done something similar to one of my treeman (got a surprise 2nd one for x-mas). I used dryad parts to give him an almost arachnid look.
I like the color scheme you used, too. Nicely done.

Very nice! The colors really makes it look like a tree. I will paint my treeman in a similar way.

The upper, Bark part of the treeman was painted from a 50/50 Bestial Brown + Scab Red mix to give it a kind of redwood, or mahogony look. The lower, root portion was based from 50/50 BB and Snot Green. Good mix for making anything swampy!
