Testing New Ranks
In my ever ongoing attempts at improving the site, I feel we have come to the time where I'd like to try to have ranks based on posts. I know a lot of you guys will be against it, and I was against it in the early days of this site. But now I want to try them out a bit and see if it feels right.
There are a few ranks out there, using rank images like this one:
accompanied with a rank title above the user avatar.
The site staff will still have the specialised ones, and I hope people will enjoy the new stuff.
If you have comments and feedback on this move, please post in this thread so I can find it.

Re: Testing New Ranks
cool. I suppose it can help us identify the users that have been around here a bit and could have the most knowledge for the rest of us to learn from.
...So if you're addressing me direct, just call me Lance or Dusk, no 1983 please.

YES ! And that's why they call you 'King of the Wood' then we really would have something to aspire to...
Conversations could be like this
"Hey Friend, how you doing ?"
"Hey Groupy, I'm good, want to come ride on my unicorn ?"

So it's no longer the BRB, now it's the DERB. (Digital Edition Rule Book) I am all in for 9th Age.

I think the rank idea might be good for this site, we can maintain the old principles of this site even with a rank system i.e. no pointless posts or spamming etc.
Strength does not come from physical capacity, it comes from an indomitable will.

If you give me a format and some instructions I can make a bunch, I'm relatively proficient with Photoshop with too much time on my hands and would be more than happy to make them.

Re: Testing New Ranks
I am currently looking a bit for a graphic designer. I suck at those things, and yet I have done all buttons and such for the site quite recently. The rank images aren't too hard to fix, but if someone with some better graphic design skills wants to remake them (with similar message on them) I'd be happy to look at it and perhaps use them.

Re: Testing New Ranks
If you just send me the things that need work I can start on them, if I struggle I have a class full of business/IT students to give us a hand. Not sure how fast I can do it, but at least it gets done
