A giant squirrel is going on mine!

or maybe not. I was going to use the black bird on a white circle motif for mine...as my army is a night force and has strong links with a great black eagle...

If you find it hard to paint them it is easy if you practice plenty of times on bits of paper (I find 20 times is usually enough).

I prefer that one over the greenstuffed. It's great and original. I don't know yet what I do if I ever do bsb. Something autumn themed...

I prefer to make mine out of plasticard. There is a guide on how to do them on coolminiornot. They are easier and look better than GS ones.

You mean we are all morbid and like dull colours and black? I think you might be right Brucey ;)

plasticard ones do look nice. I usually use card and foil tho, but it can be alot more fragile.

Okkie, an update; the flag was painted basically in green and the emblems were pencil drawn. Now it needs to try a bit and then I can paint. I'll photo and post both versions tommorow.

If you want to get a realistic, wind-blown looking banner, get your hands on an old wine bottle, the ones with the thin metal foil around the top, peel it off and spray it black, then bend it into a shape that looks realistic. It will keep the form you give it. its great, I am going to use it as soon as i get through another bottle of wine. Im going to make a BSB flag out of it I think.

Or get some paper, immerse it in hardseal gloss varnish for about ten minutes, then take it out and hold it in position with paperclips for a couple of hours.

That might work, i havent ever heard of it before but it sounds cool. It probably wouldnt bend out of shape either like metallic foil.

It also provides a nicer surface to paint onto. Plus, you can print a design on the paper before you dunk it, then you can paint over the design and use it as a guideline.

I ah... don't think that's in GW copywrite...

I found this a while ago. I can't remember where, so if I'm stealing it, I am very very sorry.

I just reformatted them.

This seems to have all of them. Notice how Piluth (Pi) represents maths? Or Cynatheir has Cynath (death, winter) in it? Or how they call the sun Sol (which is the correct astronomical term)?

hey fox, i just noticed something, those are highelven runes, not woodelven runes, if you look under the waywatcher kindred fluff, it says that minaith means the lost way, while that site says that cy'nath means the lost way

No it doesn't. It says that cynath means Death, not The Lost Way. Minaith means The Lost Way.

Oh, and I forgot to add that cy'nath means silence or lonliness and Darath means Seige, tactics and surrender.

I imagine the elves use the same language and form of writing. DE prolly use more spiky runes, WE use more fluid, swirly runes.

Nope. I said that we should use Death for dead topics and Birth for new topics.
