The nice thing about getting massacred is that turns don't take all too much work to complete. :smirk:

Movement ok?

Banner of sorcery:
Result of the throw of dice "1d3" :

2 = 2
The beast cowers on the Hydra:
Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :

3 + 5 = 8
I'll go ahead and roll out the others as well. Master of Stone on the blue shades:
Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :

4 + 4 + 2 = 10
Crow's feast on the red shades in the wood:
Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :

2 + 2 + 5 = 9
The bolt thrower will fire a single shot at the master:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :

2 = 2
It was worth a shot, but no cigar.

The sea guard shoots at the purple bolt thower:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :

4 = 4
5+ is the crew:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :

5 = 5
4+ to wound:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :

1 = 1
nope.

The shadows shoot at the black guard, 5+ to hit:
Result of the throw of dice "7d6" :

3 + 2 + 6 + 4 + 4 + 6 + 3 = 28
Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :

5 + 4 = 9
Summary: You'll need to try to dispel: Beast cowers, Crow's Feast or Master of Stone.
2 saves for the black guard (no modifer) from shooting.

Hamete seems good at that. Duplicate rolls seem to come up alot on different dice.

Crow's feast:
Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :

6 + 4 = 10

Result of the throw of dice "10d6" :

4 + 1 + 2 + 4 + 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 6 = 36

6 normal saves there.

Master of Stone:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :

2 = 2

Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :

3 + 6 = 9

Summary:
Blue shades destroyed.
6 saves for red shades.
God is always on the side of the big battalions.

6+ AS:
Result of the throw of dice "6d6" :

6 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 6 + 5 = 28
2 saves, but the other four kill the unit...

On to close combat:

4 attacks on the hydra:
Result of the throw of dice "4d6" :

5 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 23

:eek:
Result of the throw of dice "4d6" :

4 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 9

2 regeneration rolls.

And 1 on the BSB:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :

5 = 5

Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :

5 = 5

Summary:
2 saves -3 for the Hydra. By the way how many wounds does it have left?
and 1 save -3 for the BSB.

The Hydra has suffered 3 wounds so far...
Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :

3 + 6 = 9
And now it has suffered 4 wounds, so just 1 wound left

BSB has a 1+ AS normally, so reduced to 4+:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :

4 = 4
Saved

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hydra attacks back:
hitting on 4s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "7d6" :
4 + 6 + 6 + 5 + 3 + 4 + 1 = 29
5 hits
wounding on 2s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "5d6" :
6 + 5 + 5 + 3 + 1 = 20
4 wounds at -2AS
Spearmen:
hitting on 4s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :
2 + 2 = 4
Reroll for Hatred:
Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :
4 + 5 = 9
2 hits
wounding on 4s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :
4 + 3 = 7
1 wound at normal saves
And BSB:
hitting on 3s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :
5 + 6 + 6 = 17
Nice, 3 hits
wounding on 2s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :
3 + 5 + 6 = 14
3 wounds at -3AS
~ 3 wounds at -3AS, 4 wounds at -2AS and 1 wound at normal saves on the White Lions
I think that will wipe the unit out, as they only have heavy armour...
Right, let's kick off the final turns then!
First up, I have two charges to declare - the Dreadlord's Spearmen and the Master will both charge the final three White Lions (I'm not sure whether the Spearmen can reach, but it's close enough to risk ;) )
What will your reaction be?
Here are my moves for the final turn then:
Image
Assuming they're OK, I'll move onto shooting
EDIT: Ignore the white square - I obviously forgot to fill it in :D
First, also assuming that the Hydra can see you mage in the wood, the beastie will try to fry your squishy wizard:
wounding on 6s (S1) wrote:Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :
2 = 2
Fails, so it doesn't really matter whether the Hydra can see :smirk:
Next, the two Bolt Throwers will both fire Volleys at the Shadow Warriors:
hitting on 5s for long range and skirmishers wrote:Result of the throw of dice "12d6" :
2 + 2 + 3 + 6 + 2 + 1 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 6 + 3 = 40
2 hits, one from each RBT
wounding on 3s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :
1 + 1 = 2
Ha! Both fail to wound :smirk:
Finally, the Dark Riders will take a final potshot at the last Seaguard:
hitting on 6s for moving, single model and long range wrote:Result of the throw of dice "5d6" :
6 + 4 + 2 + 5 + 6 = 23
2 hits
wounding on 4s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :
1 + 2 = 3
Neither of those wound either :smirk:
Onto combat, and you strike first. Any attacks against the Dreadlord are reduced to half WS thanks to the Ring of Darkness :)
I'll put all of the attacks on the master:
Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :
2 + 4 + 4 = 10
Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :
4 + 3 = 7
2 saves -3.
1+ AS reduced to 4+:
Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :
1 + 6 + 6 = 13
1 wound goes through, leaving him with just 1 wound left :paranoid:
Master attacks back:
hitting on 4s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :
5 + 4 + 6 = 15
3 hits
wounding on 3s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :
4 + 4 + 5 = 13
3 wounds at -1AS
Dreadlord:
hitting on 3s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "4d6" :
1 + 6 + 5 + 4 = 16
Reroll for Hatred:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :
6 = 6
4 hits
wounding on 2s wrote:Result of the throw of dice "4d6" :
4 + 2 + 4 + 6 = 16
4 wounds at -3AS, which means the White Lions are dead
That also means it is now your final turn :)
Okay, I'm just digging for points this round.
Master of Stone on the orange shades:
Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :
3 + 3 + 2 = 8
Crow's feast on the dark riders:
Result of the throw of dice "3d6" :
6 + 6 + 5 = 17
Well I guess I can proceed then, since only the first spell is dispellable.
Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :
2 + 4 = 6
Result of the throw of dice "6d6" :
6 + 6 + 4 + 3 + 5 + 1 = 25
4 saves there.
The shadows will shoot at them as well:
Result of the throw of dice "7d6" :
5 + 6 + 5 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 5 = 26
Result of the throw of dice "4d6" :
4 + 3 + 6 + 3 = 16
And the last sea guard shoots there as well:
Result of the throw of dice "1d6" :
3 = 3
misses.
A total of 6 saves for the dark riders so far. If its okay I'll wait for your saves and dispel attempt before firing my bolt thrower.
God is always on the side of the big battalions.
Dispel Master of Stone:
Result of the throw of dice "2d6" :
6 + 1 = 7
Nope :(
5+ AS:
Result of the throw of dice "6d6" :
1 + 6 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 3 = 15
.......
Only 1 save, so that's all 5 dead :(
Tough choice for the bolt thrower. I'll shoot normally at the Hydra. 2+ to hit, 5+ to wound, -2 saves
Result of the throw of dice "6d6" :
3 + 1 + 2 + 5 + 3 + 1 = 15
Result of the throw of dice "4d6" :
3 + 4 + 1 + 3 = 11
Oh well. The chances of killing it were less that 50%.
I've got one unit, and though I killed lots of support units, I think you still have enough for a massacre. You've got a nice army. Its got a good mix of shooting and close combat units, and its fast. Good game, Beithir. :) If you ever want to play another one let me know.
Thanks for the game ForgottenLor! I'm very surprised it ended quite so one-sided, especially as I have never used the army before and built it off the top of my head. My previous Dark Elf armies have all been pants, but it seems I might have stumbled on a good combination :D
I would love to play another game in the future, so whenever you feel like playing just give me a shout :)
