I love the cell phone ornaments!!!! I am a bid fan of gothy things like that
Your Tree Woman is amazing also!!!!! I am working on some scratch built Tree Kin at the moment, and seeing your work is inspirational. I really like the scale pic of the Tree Woman with the Goblins. STOMP!!! LOL!!!! I would love it if you could take a look at my work at give me some pointers on sculpting if you have time. My work is in the "Song of the Grove Kin" thread.

They're all quit impressive, but I must ask, how did you get that texture on the treewoman? That's what I want my treeman to look like but I can't get the texture in the GS. Is it just a bunch of small marks with modeling tool/the back of an X-acto knife? And how long did the texturing take?

Re: My Autumn Wood Elves painting blog [Warning: picture heavy!]
Thanks everyone I'll give you another update with my 6 waywatchers and the treewoman (painted) next weekend I think.
Maedhros, I used GW's sculpting tool and pushed/cut the green stuff in random criss cross patterns. I also flattened many of the bumps which are left between the tiny "canyons" made by the sculpting tool. Note that by flattening I mean that I just pushed on them a little bit so that they look more flat and not so round.
Hmm kinda hard to explain... The texturing takes a lot of time on such a big model. But it was fun
Skarlock, yeah I'm very fond of the cell phone ornaments I have to confess, I'm a little borderline goth :P hehe
And yeah it's great that she's so big. It's funny to see her dwarf the opponents
Okay I'll take a look at your log

Re: My Autumn Wood Elves painting blog [Warning: picture heavy!]
Sorry Teleri, but what models do you want a tutorial for? I'm lost in my own thread xD
It's time for another update.
My treewoman has been finished for a long time but I haven't had the opportunity to take any pictures of her until now.

Back closeup: http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l224/ ... oseup3.jpg
So what do you think? I am very proud of this Ancient. My first sculpted model : D
I've also updated my Luthor Huss model to make the model a bit better looking and make it fit in with my new Empire army.
Come by again in a little while. I'll upload my waywatchers and 6 more dryads soon. They've been finished for a while.

Thanks . I'm glad you like it. Yeah thought it would be interesting with no eyes, just a glowing ward : )
Here are my Waywathcers (notice the simple freehand swirl-painting on three of the cloaks and one of the quivers. The flesh tones seem a little flat in the pictures. They have more depth IRL.
The flash makes it a bit hard to see but it's on the cloaks of models 3, 4 5 on the pic showing their backs):

And some more Dryads:

Great painting and perfect elven art, I say this because I can't quite tell if its meant to be female or its just an effeminate looking elven male, which is exactly what high elves in armour should look like
I really like the swirls on the waywatchers cloak, it takes a while to notice they are there, which I think is just how a waywatcher would decorate their clothes.

Great job on the Waywatchers. I really like the colors you used, and the free hand is very subtle and well placed.
I like your art to. On your link, the pic of you titled "<b>[censored]</b>" is cool. I was wondering if you have ever read the Elinor comics before or if it is just a coincidence

Re: Autumn Wood Elves log [updated with Ancient, Waywatchers ..]
Thanks everyone
Skarlock: Thanks. You mean Lenore - the little dead girl? Yeah I love those comics And my name is Elinore so similar but not the same.
Amithela: It's a woman. But I didn't want to draw a female warrior with enormous titty armour Looking at it again though, her face isn't very well drawn at all.
Beithir Seun: Hmm well I add more pics from time to time. THanks for the watch.
