Celebration Time!

Post by Naggie »

We have reached 999 members as of right now, and we have reached over 30 000 posts on Asrai.org!
Well done, my humble slaves ;)

Nah, just kidding. It's been fun meeting all these people whom some I know pretty well, and some who's new to me. I just hope the word about the site spreads far and wide so we're attracting more new Asrai players and not only the guys and gals from our two sister sites. I am very proud of you guys!

Don't forget the slightly inactive Ithildir Hawk-Eye, and our wonderful team of mods.

Yay congratulations to everyone of us ^^ We sure are many now. I really like this site and how it is so active.
Hey I just bought my first batallion today so now I've got what it takes to make an army (got a noble and 3 EG for christmas too). So now I've joined the bunch of real asrai =D

- oh, what does IIRC mean? I've wondered for quite some time.

Congratulations, etc.
i think you actually beat asur.org in the amount of time taken as well iirc.
This site had an advantage in that two sites were put together. Asur only had the "core members" from Ulthuan.org to draw on, remember. ;)

Ulthuan lost all the "newbies" when it shifted over to Asur.org, while this site (with a couple of exceptions, I'm sure) has retained almost everybody. It still didn't take long for Asur to reach a thousand, though.

EDIT:

Asur - 5.5 months
Asrai - 6 months

And you had the newbies to help you. Now, does that settle things? ;)

I think we've got a lot of members from Asur.org and Druchii.net. We nerarly havemore members than a lot of the more established sites, e.g. the herdstone (celebrated 2 years online recently).

lol those sloganizer signatures a few people here on asrai.org use are pretty damn silly ;)

It seems to me that wood elves have become a very popular race with the new release, before they were released it seemed to me that they were quite rare.

Did a quick sweep of the largest race specific sites:

Druchii - 9722 registeered users
Asur - 2923
Bugmans - 2790
Da Warpath - 2610
Pyramid Vault - 1960
Under-empire - 1733
Bret.org - 1347
Ogre Stronghold - 1275
Bloodkeep - 1269
World of Chaos - 1114
Herdstone - 1049
Asrai - 1010
Khemri - 996

Given we're only 6 months old I think we deserve a pat on the back. Druchii here we come...

Hahaha okay =D Well the models weren't that nice back then. Clone archers and hippie wardancers. ^_^
Me and one of my friends didn't play asrai, but we both started collecting them now. I think the new miniatures range and rules must have doubled the amount of people playing WE. Might sound crazy, but that's what I think.

The model range has definitely improved, but not the treekin and treemen IMO. All elves has been improved to a higher standard. Nagathi likes them :p
I hope this turn of events will entice more people to join us. Now when we've reached over 1000 members, people might see us as one of the bigger sites around, and thus we will get the word out.
By the way: As we are in a new phase of the site's life (we've hit a new milestone), I've changed my avatar and the colour of my signature :)

Almost without exception, the entire WE range has been improved, both in models, fluff, and rules.
Congratulations and kudos to the admins, mods, and members that have made this site great, it's the best WE site out on the net IMO. And should keep improving and growing at a steady rate.
Lethalis is funny (and so is Darmort) :)
