Asrai.org Member of the Year Nominations
So, it's that time of the year again where we don our hats and dish out that Wood Elf treehuggin' love. Let me just say that even for someone as low-key as me, it's been a fairly upbeat year. We've had a series of modelling competitions, the introduction of WFO and the development of a fully-fledged Lost Kindreds army. And all that on top of the crazy-cat antics you've been getting up to! But this year wouldn't be complete without its members, so it's with great honour that I open the Asrai.org Member of the Year Award (AMotY)!
Previously, they way we've done it is that the Council of Elders would nominate members and the forum members would vote, but we've decided to change it slightly. This year, forum members can nominate and vote for each other. If you wish to nominate someone, then just make a post stating "I nominate X" (with X being the name of the member) and state your reasons why. You can nominate absolutely anyone who you think qualifies for "Best Member". If you appreciate one or more members, this is your chance to show it. So what are you waiting for?
You've got a week!

Re: Asrai.org Member of the Year Nominations
Umm, I'll nominate Beithir. As always he's been a great helping hand everywhere around the site and he even dropped in on the Lost Kindreds to give us a hand. He's also kept visiting even though some of the other old regulars have started various armies and stopped frequenting daily
I'd nominate Sphynx for his part in everything and becoming famous for Sethayla but he's been inactive for a few months
And then AMA has been absolutely brilliant. He's organized the Lost Kindreds, hovered over absolutely everywhere since he became a mod, kept everyone in line etc. and has run AoDs, had a massive part to play in WFO, taken over various jobs that people have had to leave and has in general been a great member to have around.
EDIT: there was a one or more bit in Schmeag's post

I'll second Mist's nominations of AMA and Beithir, for the same reasons...

My nomination is also for Beithir Seun for all the important reasons above and very many small ones; introducing himself to new members, even-tempered advice, and a wide range of useful knowledge.

Re: Asrai.org Member of the Year Nominations
My own vote would be AMA. He's always good natured, reasonable and able to look at pretty much everything objectively and rationally. He's always active and available, and is responsible for the Lost Kindreds project, managing the numerous Army Book Revision topics in the Weald and running the monthly Modelling competitions as well as the Summer and Winter ones. He makes the effort to greet pretty much every member who posts in the Glade of Gathering (and if he doesn't welcome them there he usually does so elsewhere). All of these, and numerous other reasons, make him a more than deserving victim...erm, I mean winner

Re: Asrai.org Member of the Year Nominations
I'd throw my hat in beithir's ring, he helped me get to know everyone and has put up with my somewhat latent WFO abilities
Otherwise AMA has also been a useful compatriot, I have learnedto trust in his opinion more so than the next man (unless it knocks AMA down a peg )

I nominate AMA and Beithir...again. For the reasons listed above. I think it's all been pretty much covered

Re: Asrai.org Member of the Year Nominations
So, we have so far, AMA, Beithir (hey, you know who I support, don´t you? Any elf stout and proud enough to stand ground and not giving in with his Eternal guards etc... Just telling...) and Hyarion.
So, come on and spill it out.
And yes, there may a number of more categories coming than the Member of the year coming. Watch this place.
Now, I will return to my usually silent stalking of the site. So do not think I am not watching you all! The Kindred of Talu strikes when you least expect it!

Re: Asrai.org Member of the Year Nominations
Having long long thought about who to nominate (only wanted to give 1 name), I vote for AMA - without him many things this year would've been scrued up this year with a lot of projects being less successful or bein unfinished, loosing their topic and heck, we weren't more and more in need of a seperate WFO forum
