New Avatar Sizes

Post by Naggie »

I've gotten some requests over the years on increasing our avatar limits. Most other sites have more tolerance to size and filesize than we have. And as we're still only using barely 5% of our server space I have bought, I have decided to increase the avatar restrictions from 100x100 pixels and 15kB to 125x125 pixels and 20kB. Enjoy!

And I've also changed my own avatar (again, I know.. I suck at making up my mind). This time it is a real pic of me :) The bigger version of it can be found here :D

Cool, ty Nagathi. Shame I can't find any pictures under 20 GiB...

The internet hates me.

It's usually fairly easy to reduce the quality and thus the file size of images to make them below 20 kB.

Indeed there are many good resizing tools out there if you simply google 'image resize'. Good Luck.

Yay, got it to work now. I was trying to do it myself, don't ask why I didn't think of using the internet to resize it for me. :paranoid:
