Eternal Guard Fortess of Boughs

Post by FriedTaterExplosion »

The rule states that you get +1 to hit/wound/armor saves as long as you don't move.

My question, does this apply to the "pile in?" The text states that during the combat phase you can make "a pile in move." I'm guessing you can't.

though...

as pile in occurs immediately before attacking, I don't see why you can't utilize the +1 save for Fortress of Boughs if you enemy attacks first THEN you pile in and attack (losing Fortess of Boughs at that time.)

I think 'fortress of boughs' just makes it so you cannot move in the movement or charge phases. That's how I've been playing it.

'Pile in' is still a move. It is not compulsory to do so which would lead me to believe if you want to keep the bonus of 'forest of boughs' you have to stay still.

I agree with this.

But after seeing some of the RAI interpretations over the past 5 years expect anything as an argument :/

I'm alright with a restrictions on movement count with the 'pile-in' interpretation.
