Free Wood

Post by Luminith »

I was just reading the rules again, and I noticed that it says for placing our free wood, we can place it on our half of the table. Does this literally mean half the table? Or did they mean our deployment zone?
Do I like Warhammer? Are you kidding, I've got wood!....elves...

Our half of the table. Question is how large is the Wood? What is the size of a citadel wood?

Just make an 8" x 10" base with a few trees in it. Or better yet an 80cm squared base.

Technically, yes. I think if you're going to make your own wood, you should at least make an effort to get the template the same as the Citadel Wood. There have been templates uploaded so that people can do just that.

The Citadel Wood base is actually *huge* compared to the 6" wood we used to get - it seems pretty rotten to try and squeeze an extra couple of inches just because you can't be bothered to trim the corners :smirk:

There's 2 probable reasons for the increase in the size of the wood.

1. They sell more citadel woods. This is probably the main one!

2. The increased size allows horde units to fit inside and with the shift toward larger unit sizes this makes sense.
