2250 Doubles Against Skaven

I have a doubles game this weekend against two 2250 pt Skaven armies. I will be paired with a dwarf player. I think that this could work out because they are a good counterpoint to the Asrai. I do not know the other lists and I built this list based on my experience as a Skaven player and my experience with dwarfs. I expect to see at least two Lvl4 Grey Seers, a Screaming Bell, and multiple HPAs. I expect the Dwarfs to have a lot of war machine shooting with strong CC blocks to absorb the charges. I also expect the Skaven have large, unwieldy horde formations. My goal is to support my ally by being very mobile and snooty. We are not using any End Times rules. Here is what I wrote up:

Lvl 4 Treeman Ancient (General)
--I want him to sit back with the Dwarfs and buff/regrow them as needed and help break combats

Lvl 2 Death Spellsinger
-Dispel Scroll
-Asrai Longbow
-Elven Steed
--Her job is to ride with the Sisters and target characters to reduce effectiveness and leadership. We want to spread the musk of fear!

9x Glade Riders
-Trueflight Arrows
-Musician

8x Glade Riders
-Trueflight Arrows
-Musician

--In this game I think that Ambush will be a solid advantage. The dwarfs will likely have a strong base of fire and I will come in after the Skaven have advanced. Given the point level and their tendency to run hordes I think that it will be hard to wheel around or reform to chase the Riders

7x Sisters of the Thorn
-Full Command
--Magic Resistance Banner
--Escorts for Deathsinger and close harrassers. Most Skaven shooting is Magical so their Ward Save should be improved if I understand the rule correctly.

7x Wild Riders
-Full Command
-+1 movement banner
--My countercharge workhorse. They are small compared to the Skaven so I will have to be careful in picking their charges. The movement banner will help getting them where I need them

3x Warhawk Riders
--These will help out against the Warplightning Cannons I expect to see (and will be dropping my forest in front of).

8x Waywatchers

7x Waywatchers
--These guys will be needed to machine gun the enemies sides and rear as well a target armored Skaven like Stormvermin.

I am confident about the list but I would love some advice and feedback. Thanks!

I'm not sure the GR will be much use.. they are very good in moving but you just dont'want to put them in combat with the large blocks. Which means they end up being expensive archers. They might be able to deal with weapon teams if those aren't hidding between troops that would kill you ASAP.... but I personally would go for hagbane scouts.

I agree that they wont be much good in combat. I can get more GG in but given the size of Skaven armies i wanted something more mobile. Do you think that GG will be fast enough to avoid giant blocks of Skaven? They march and charge REALLY fast!

that is true.. I have not much exp vs skaven.. maybe someone else can give advice

It is good advice! I am worried about how long it will take for the ambushers to show up

Maybe another unit of WH can help deal with warmachines too. I like having 2 units of warhawks myself.

I'd take Hagbane on the Glade Riders. They move well enough to mostly hit on a 4+ anyway. The poison is very useful against high Toughness targets, like Warp Lightning Cannons and the Hell Pit Abomination.

You could consider Starfire on one unit, since the HPA has Regeneration.

Waywatchers can be used to fire double shots on any Skaven block. Preferably the General's bunker. If you get that one out of the way the rest of the army will suffer from lack of Leadership, and much easier panic off the board.
Most Skaven shooting is Magical so their Ward Save should be improved if I understand the rule correctly.
MR is only against spells (and miscasts).

Oh OK. I forgot to mention that the original list had the Twins in it. I removed them for two 9-elf units of Deepwood Scouts with Hagbane. I changed the list to have two blocks of GG with Trueflight and 2 small blocks of GR with Hagbane. Maybe i will put Starfire on one or two units. I have told my partner that he should have the flaming rune on his cannon for the HPAs. I agree that the Waywatchers will do yeomans work with their double shot. I am out of the house but when i get home i will post the new list.

I am doubling down on shooting with the intention of taking out his leaders and heavy hitters so that my Dwarf partner can grind the rest down. The Dwarf player is bringing a handful of warmachines, some shooty units, and CC blocks with GWs. The Treeman Ancient will need to be protected from Warplightning Cannons so that he can buff and Regrow the dwarfs.

Be careful with the ancient please :)

My friend used an Engineer to Skitterleap next to my TMA only to drop the brass orb on him... (pass an Initiative test or be erased )
Also... all the weaponteams... are you sure you want your Treeman Bullseye as your general?

I played it today, it ended being a three way between the dwarfs, skaven, and me. I won because the skaven player split his force and quickly fell apart due to leadership. The Treeman did have a big bullseye and ate a flaming cannon ball late in the game to die. That was after he ate a Warplightning Cannon shot, survived with one wound but regained them
