Good list I'd say
If you don't comp I'd get more GG though. In anycase I'd get more WW (drop treeman?). The rest of the list I like.

Re: new to warhammer picked up wood elves
I use the treeman to assist the EG I'm not to sold on way watchers they might be due to being in low numbers. With this list should I be moving around a lot? So far I've been pretty static wondering if you had tips on how to use this
Re: new to warhammer picked up wood elves
If a low model count is an issue, play Skaven or Orcs and Goblins
Elves (any kind) is a more elite army... (no clue where that reads in the stats, but it sure does in the points)
WW are pretty awesome though. Stick em in / behind a piece of terrain and watch them unleash hailstorms on your opponents... if you roll good otherwise it's fresh fluffy snow

Re: new to warhammer picked up wood elves
A little tip, which won't make a huge difference I suppose, is that you could split the hagbane scouts into two different units to help with target selection and a bit more arrow efficiency. Overall though it seems like a nice list for someone just beginning, which you could easily turn into a more WAAC style by making just a few changes. I would ask why you're sold on Lore of Beasts, though. Not knocking the lore, but I've noticed that myself and others on the forum have all been running shadow, high, or heavens quite frequently on the lord-level caster.
Re: new to warhammer picked up wood elves
I wanted to say that earlier on but I'd already pressed the submit button.
Lower counts in WW and scouts means people are less likely to charge them OR they will be busy 2 turns killing them with a big unit instead of 1. Same goes for GG once enemy reaches the backline.

Re: new to warhammer picked up wood elves
what would be things I need to look out on with this as its very msu. Also I didnt go beasts I already have the best spell from it lol, im split between metal and heavens for my lvl 2 atm. im in favor of the big block of 30" poison arrows they've been my best unit every game
Re: new to warhammer picked up wood elves
MSU of poison arrows do the same damage... unless you augment them a lot with spells. And if they get charged they don't all die or get overrun at once.

Re: new to warhammer picked up wood elves
I agree, pretty solid list. Daemons might be an issue because it'll struggle to either kill or avoid them. Curse is a good spell but that's not the strength of Beasts for WE's IMHO. In general, I'd try to get more Flaming attacks in. I'd also move Discipline to the Sisters, for a Ld 10 General.
