Hi all,
Looking for some guidance here as we will be fielding this model this weekend for the first time:
Any tips for how to use them best?
From a rules perspective, a few questions:
- If a template war machine, say a cannon or stone thrower hits the unit, do both the sisters and the dragon take the damage? Stone thrower yes, but what about a cannon? Who takes the big cannon shot and its wounds?
- For shooting, does the dragon get the wounds against the model?
- An opponent would need to inflict wounds on both the sisters in one same turn (2 each) to kill them, right?
Just trying to play it right, that's all!

Re: Sisters on Dragon Question
A cannonball hits all parts of a multi-part model in 8th rules.
Randomize normal shooting as usual, but for each 5+ hitting the rider you need to randomize again which sister is hit.
Both sisters must be killed in the same phase in order for them to stay dead.
Hope this helps! Their rules are a mess with the great eagle, but with the dragon they are okay.

Re: Sisters on Dragon Question
Thank you Mollesvinet!
Quick question to confirm:
Say cannon ball hits the dragon. Then you roll to see if it wounds (2+) 3 times, one for dragon and 1 each for the sisters. Then, if it hits, you do the multiple wounds for each one. So in theory, you could do 6 wounds to each of the 3 models (highly unlikely, but in theory..)?
Let's see how it goes! It'll be Wood Elves vs Dwarves and you know they're bringing a cannon and then done.

Re: Sisters on Dragon Question
That's the way I've played it with arch lector/war altar and vampire/coven throne in the past. A right pain as ward saves don't confer to the rider, so you have to pay for a ward on the character too. Unlikely it'll kill both sisters outright though, and the dragon should survive.LiveWaaaaagh wrote: Say cannon ball hits the dragon. Re: Sisters on Dragon Question
Indeed. Template weapons with multiple wounds are one of the things that is really dangerous to the sisters.
