Been chatting to Norway's Jarle Svendsrud on this thread:

He played that Russian WE yesterday in the team event and went down 6-14, Jarle is a very strong player too.
Re: ETC Results
Team tournament done aswell now.
Best Wood Elf list fielded Durthu Oo
Tim Dvoskin from Belarus
2nd best Jan Pus from Czech Republic without Wild Riders.
Ofc Team results are skewed because of the pairing system but still very interesting.

Re: ETC Results
Well, last 2 games Sergey blew up Spellweavers into cascade by casting 3-dice spells, that's tough. If it weren't for them, team Russia would get 3 points more and win 3rd place
AFAIK in ESC he got 3rd place, the second was Vampire Counts from Malta.

Re: ETC Results
In the last pairing against czech our chaos lord on disc died to 5 str 3 hits... failed 3 1+as and 3+ ward saves... it also costed us 3 points..
So all in all those things happen and its all part of the game..
By the way I did okay with wood elves. Became 3rd best I think with 75 points.
It was our best ETC ever especially when after day 1 we were 30th.. finished strong with 394 out of 400 in the last 4 games.
Hope there will be one next year..
Cheers

Re: ETC Results
Good stuff angelus!
Best ever result for NL? Was there any decision from the captains meeting on where the ETC will go next?

Re: ETC Results
Gz for all the participants. Also it was our very first ETC experience for Team Turkey (I am not on that team, but my gaming buddies are). Hope that ETC will embrace 9th edition and Kings of War instead of AOS in the following years.
Re: ETC Results
Congratulations Angelus on your result. Good to see NL made a comeback
Any chance of a small write-up of how the battles went when you have time?

Congratz on the good results!
Anyone knows what list Sergey played at the ESC, same as the one he took to team event?
Cheers,

Re: ETC Results
Game 6 Ld test for me vs USA was just insane...
T1 - Casket on 1st WR unit - 13, reroll 16. Casket on 2nd WR unit - 17, reroll 12 (phew)
T5 - 3/10 WW died. Panic test - 10, reroll 10
T6 - 5/8 GR died. Panic test - 12, reroll 12. General panic - 10, reroll 12.
Without the panics, total casualty was 100 pt... for a 10-10 which would have given me 75pt finish :/
I was really happy attending the ETC for the first time and would recommend it to anyone who has a chance of going in the future (as long as they're playing WFB that is).
PS: I took unicorn High to the ETC and she was easily MVP of the tournament. Fiery convocation cast on those 60+ TK bunkers and zombie spam VC (he started with 70 zombies, double l4 VC lore, black periapt, reroll wind of magic) really put the enemy on such back foot that you don't get hit by as much offensive magic. If it wasn't for the T6 Game 6 panic, she would have conceded 0 VP across all games whilst making back tonnes with SQ, Hand of Glory & Fiery Convo.

Re: ETC Results
If only the conditions were not so horrible. No clima, it was like playing in the oven. Every 2nd game of the day was torture with last being by far the worst (imo).

I heard about that TK list on a Mid-west podcast a while ago.
