With this new forum look, and those little circle's with the paper inside them on all of the posts;
- what does the orange paper mean?
- what does the white paper mean?
- what does the shrinking paper mean?

Re: How do i know when there's a new post
As far as I'm aware the following is the key:
Orange means there's new replies
Shaking means it's a popular topic
White means there's no new replies
Black Dot means that you've replied in the thread.
Also you can use the "view new posts" selector to view new subjects / new posts in existing subjects since you were last online.

I think Amarel has it right. You can also use 'View Active Topics' just in case you were looking for new posts but had somehow forgotten to reply to them.

All very correct replies.
Also don't forget the neat bookmarking feature that lets you bookmark the most interesting threads and you can manage them and access them from your UCP (user control panel).

Sorry to be a total newb, Nag. How exactly do I bookmark a thread? I don't see any icons while reading the thread itself..Naggie wrote:All very correct replies.

Right at the bottom of every page, you'll see a section "Who Is Online". Underneath that, there are four links: Portal >> Board Index Subscribe Topic and Bookmark Topic. It's the last one that you want.
