Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Benigno almost made the dispel:
"You are right, but, wow, what a roll O_o Let's see if I can double six the dispell
6d6 +4 >= 30
5 + 6 + 4 + 5 + 4 + 1 + 4 = 29 ... failure"
And the Eagle Lord is swallowed into warp: 6 hits with S7 leave him no chances.
P.S. Today I learned that Sorc Lord on Disc of Tzeentch is 50*50mm (on the GW site), changing the measures, also 2 more attacks from GG during last combat.
Shooting phase...
Warshrine takes bless (MR3) from Knights... double rolls for Armor save.. and completes with giving MR3 to Chosen
CC phase...
Exalted finishes Eagle alone (5 attacks S5 after all) and Warriors reform.

Warriors are out of Treeman's LoS now.
End of my Turn 2.

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Ok, I'm back. Turn 3 Wood Elves.
Charge!
Treeman charges the Chosen, they are 12" away, so I need a 7+. Terror test and reaction

Stand and fear test passed.
Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Dryads charge the Warhounds, that will stand for sure.
I roll the distances and all of them reach their targets. This turn there will be some hits!
I'll make the moves later and upload the map.

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Eagle march in front of the Warrior to stop their advance, Dryads reposition. GG1 reform and move a little backwards to shoot at the chaos warriors, and GG2 move into short range of the Warshrine.

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Winds of magic roll 2 + 5 dice with no channeling for either side.
First I dispell the Pandemonium with 2 dice succesfully, and after that I roll a 20 for a Dwellers onto the Chaos General, it is not difficult to dispell, let's see if the dice let me try to kill him.

Dispel attempt with 3 "ones" and ... (drums here) double six stops the Wizards going under soil
Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Shooting sees a whole rank of Warriors fall due to arrow fire, but the panic test is passed.
In combat, a treekin dies but the trees kill 6 of the chosen, but an insane courage of the blessed chosen keeps them fighting.
The Dryads kill 4 hounds and run down the fleeing doggy.
Turn 3 Warriors of Chaos!

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Benigno gets +1 to Sportsmanship for excusing my wrong positioning of hounds (Dryads could charge further the Warshrine).
Turn 3. Warriors, to Battle!
Warriors charge Great Eagle
Knights charge Treekin
Warshrine charges Treeman
Warshrine charges big unit of Glade Guard
Marauders reform

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
GG1 prefer not to risk CC, so they flee 8 inches.
Warshrine redirects its charge to small GG2 unit.

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
GG2 make Stand and Shoot, do nothing Warshrine, but terrify the horses so that they fail charge Moving 4 inches forward.

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Magic wind luckily blow with 5+5, giving me 11 PD.
Lord is using 3rd Eye of Tzeentch, successfully casts Stone to Flest on Chosen and makes irresistable cast of Dwellers Below on GG1 unit. BSB and 10 guards make it, but others and Lord.. not.
Sorc Lord suffets S10 small template, but barely passes it with ward save.

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Chosen are blessed by the Lord of Ravens, no less. In combat against Treekin and Treeman only 2 of them die (however, T6 helped greatly against stomping but overall rollings of Benigno were bad), and one Knight is torn apart by wooden limb. Warshrine proves effective to give additional attack to Chosen in the Shooting phase, but does nothing to Treeman (well, noone hoped). One Treekin dies from Chosen, and another from Knights, but with having 0 ranks all trees become steadfast.
Warriors slay the Eagle and overrun 5 inches forward, seeing woodies backs.
End of turn 3.

That's a temporary map for seeing how WS flees from your Dryads through rock.

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Ok, so Dryads 2 charge the Warshrine, that holds, Dryads 1 charge the same Warshrine and flees, the Dryads 2 don't get them but Dryads 1 roll enough to catch it. GG2 swift reform and advance a little and GG1 regroup.
Magic sees a 3 on the winds of magic and the Treeman moves a forest with Irresistible force, nothing very important.
At shooting the GG2 make a wound on the Warriors that may be saved by their armour, and now waiting for the Chaos attacks on the great combat!

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
And the Warrior fails both saves
Yeah, the fleeing with Warshrine was my mistake, It really could chop 2 dryads/3 guards in CC, so that would negate your charge bonuses..

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Bloody combat phase, The Warriors kill a treekin and severely wound another. The treekin kill a knight and the treeman slaughter the two remaining stonskined Chosen. The Treekin flees 9" and pass through the Warriors and the Knights roll just 8" but engage the treeman for more wood choping. The treeman remains untouched, but those Warriors with 2 handed axes are pretty angry

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
What's the fun part, that in this battle Chosen were the cheapest (not counting Warshrine) unit, but managed to hold and chop like.. 3 treekin
Warriors charge the Treeman.
Sorc Lord moves out of Dryads and Treekin LoS

Re: Benigno (WE) vs Aemir (WoC) 2000
Magic blows pathetic snake eyes (with no channeling, of course)... but with Puppet Sorc Lord tries his luck .... and Destroys Treekin with the Infernal Gateway! (rolling 16 to cast with 3 dices, 9 hits with 6 strength)
Marauders hit nothing with spears, Warshrines rolls Eye Closed with attempt to buff Knights.
Close combat sees one dead Knight (Knights didn't manage a wound), 4 stomped Warriors (but they did 3! wounds to Treeman).. Treeman could hold till next round, but it waffled the Break Test and was crumbled by Knights (the only good thing they did this game so far).
End of Turn 4.

Several moves to engage the Warriors unit, let's see if I can take some points somewhere.

No magic and shooting sees 3 Warriors fall due to arrowfire. The elven BSB manages 2 wounds with his sniper bow and spite, but the Chaos Hero saves both.
No combat so 5th turn for the Warriors
