Magic winds blow 6+1, no channeling. Sorc Lord tries Flickering Fire on Dryads1 and Benigno barely dispels it with 6 dices. After this Dryads suffer Infernal Gateway, losing 5. Call to Glory is failed with 2 dices.

Warshrine gives additional armor save to Warriors, Marauders fail every spear throw.

End of Turn 5.

Dryads 2 charge the Warshrine, and Dryads 1 fail to charge the Warriors in a desperate try to get some points. GG2 swift reform to shoot the Marauders and GG1 advance to shoot the 2 remaining Knights (just 2 GG are in short range :/)

Shooting sees as GG2 kill 2 marauders and they panic, and GG1 failed to kill any Knights. In combat the Warshrine wounds a Dryad but her magical aura saves her, the Dryads wound the Warshrine but it holds.

Warriors charge Dryads 2 flank (needed 7'' for that).

Marauders fail to rally and continue fleeing 8 inches.

Warriors kill 1 dryad, BSB gets 2 more, Warshrine amazingly makes 3 dryads bite the dust. Battle is lost to woodies for 6 points and they flee. To our both amazement they roll 6'' for flee, but Warriors and Warshrine roll 4 and 5! That ends the game.

Wood Elves get 30 for hounds, 150 for Warshrine, 250 for Chosen (Unit of the game), 25 for banner
Warriors get 120 for Dryads, 390 for Treekin, 285 for Treeman, 181+100 for Eagle Noble, 280 for Spellweaver, 100 for both Eagles and score Massacre! with 1001 points advantage.

My afterthoughts:
Both sides saw their best and worst rolling. Chosen were extremely lucky to hold one round being charged which hugely changed the game, chopped a lot of Treekin and survived. Most dangerous (and most expensive) unit in game was Sorcerer Lord, who destroyed Spellweaver, Eagle Rider, Treekin and Dryads. Armor rolls were poor throughout the game, Warshrine did what I expected and prooved nice. Marauders made it good with maneuvering (I knew they would do nothing to Woodies) and didn't die. Warriors of Chaos are tough army, imho they are one of the top. Flank-denial tactic (wide formation with flat advance) proved it's best against Wood Elves.

Game gave me pleasure to make acquintant with strong and weak sides of both armies. And, of course, great opponent of Benigno, who helped a lot with game rules.

Great game, and excellent oponent. Those Chosen changed the tide of battle, that combat lasted too long. Even losing my Spellweaver didn't finish my chances of winning, but the Chaos Sorcerer became an unkillable target.

Good luck with your Chaos Warriors, I will keep trying with the Woodies :)
