Baardah vs Defender (tutorial) 600 points
This is our thread.
First we do is make a map. In this sub forum there is a WFO map storage and in the 'how to play a WFO' there is a blank map. Also there is a thread where Shiodome has made some super terrain pieces. I tend to use MS paint to create maps. Its easy. However when it comes to turning units and such you'll need a more complex picture programme like GIMP or Photoshop.
On the map 10 pixels is 1"
There are tools to measure in the picture software but I tend to just make a ruler by laying a strip of paper on the screen and mark off the inches. Then I just lay it over the screen when making moves and wheels. If a situation arises where a more "tight" measurement is needed, one can enlarge the picture and start counting pixels....
After a map is created you'll need to upload it to an online picture bank, like photobucket or Flickr. Then you post it in this thread like if you where posting a picture of you model.
You'll also need to make an army template. This is explained in the how to play thread....
You start with posting an army list. I set the points to 600. This will be sufficient to learn the game and won't take to long. Due to time zones, the fact that people have real lives among other thing means a WFO is more likely to take at least a week to finish. One can speed up things with doing hidden deployment though. With this I mean both players take the agreed upon map, place their troops in their deployment zone and then one of the players merge the maps....
If you want I can make the map, but for you to learn you might wanna have a go at it yourself.
For a small game like this, a 48x48 map will be better than a 48x 72.

That building in the middle? What is it. And how high is it. We need to agree on that before the game. Also do you wanna use mysterious terrain?

It was the Acropolis of Heroes though we can use whatever rules for it that you want. As for mysterious terrain I am good for that if you are.

I have no problem with mysterious terrain.
Changed my mind regarding army, and decided on wood elves.

Re: Baardah vs Defender (tutorial) 600 points
We must roll for deployment. I deploy waywatchers after deployment is finished too...so you get +1 to theroll for first turn...
I'll tryto finish my deployment tomorrow. I'm in no hurry. That's the beauty of a WFO. One can take turns whenever it fits in a buisy schedule....

1d6 >= 5
1: 1 ... failure
2: 3 ... failure
3: 3 ... failure
1d6 >= 4
1: 5 ... success
2: 1 ... failure
3: 6 ... success
That is no saves against the HoDA and 2 of the 3 against the GG. Total 4 dead. Will fix in my movement.
