Restarting the Mordheim BPiF Campaign.

Post by ArchMagosAlchemys »

Please let me know that you are ready to re-start. Fikol seems nearly ready.

Any of our new (or old) members who want to participate in a Mordheim campaign using WFO, please post here and let me know. New warbands are not at a particular disadvantage at the moment and can level up quickly (or die horribly. :D )

We've all heard of ninja horses and wild rider horses are much better than normal horses so they must be super ninjas......right?

OK I have downloaded onto my PC all that stuff, I have glanced at it and this is basicly skirmish rules from the 6th edition enhanced to the genious level I suppose. I have never played Mordheim nor skirmish games. But if you all can put up with me (I will be the slow one) then what the heck, deal me in however you seem fit. I can spend some time now that it's the weekend going over these rules. So what do I do next?

Play a game and learn as you go.

For the moment, to get some experience, make a 400 point human warband with only one hero in it. Your real campaign warband will be better and bigger.

Let me know when you are ready and you get to fight one of the player warbands as NPC. You should learn a bunch.

When you come to build your own first warband, maximize heros, and minimize equipment on Grunts. The 400 point warband is well-equipped, but too small. (or play the human warband that starts with 600gc )

I have sent a PM to your opponent Draketh Firewind and when he responds we can get started.

The secnario for your opponent is 'bounty hunt' He will be making a raid on your Bandit headquarters. Do you have GIMP or some other editor so you can make your moves and change the map?

I just saw in the rules where all the henchmen in a warband are to be eguipted the same. I did not do that. If this is needed, I can post another list if you want.

No, all henchman in the same group must be equipped the same. You can however have groups of one guy so all can have different weapons. The bonus with groups is that they level together and don't loose all experience if one member dies.

As TGA says, in this warband, it will not matter. Consider the consequences of single henchman groups in your 'real' warband.

Ummm AMA if it's the bounty hunt thing you wondering about well I am still waiting on a map from you and some of the rulings on this particular senario again. Or is it the fact that you want me to choose the map for the senario?
