I can’t spend as much time as before on my WE, but anyway I’m slowly
painting my coastal/lake woodies. I’m trying to do all units at once, so right now I have my table covered with lots of elves that are almost, but not quite, finished.
The first batch of pics:
First of all, Confrontation “treekin”. He is actually some kind of orc incarnation, sold in the box with orc hero.
I’ve added two “hands” on the model and made some minor adjustments:

Another photo of the creature:

His “comrades”

My mighty treeman Breakaneck Sonofabirch
Another pic of the model:

Thanks for the comments, more pics below.
Greens and blues are mainly from GW, I've mixed some Vallejo model on certain parts of the model. The thing is, that colours like scaly/vile green, hawk turqoise, etc. are not used often - I had these paints standing for 3 years before I've picked them for this army.
So... Reaper heroes, waywatchers, and driads. I need a day or two to finish EG, and with some luck I can finish 20 GG, 10 GR&10WR this summer.

amazing work so far!
i really love your freehand painting on everything....
personally, i don't really like the "big tree", but kudos to sculpting that!
your colour scheme is phenomenal! the blues and greens look very pleasing...
i like how you include different model ranges in your army, it really adds variety.... (sadly i don't like Reaper elves because their noses are huge!)
really amazing work! keep it up!

BSB is converted Warcrow model (some kind of elven assasin). I've swapped sword hand (she had a buckler in left hand) and used GW banner. I've also scuplpted some hair and cloth details, as well as some vines/leaves.
As for noses&Reaper...that depends, and I really not sure why some models are normal, while others are looking strange. S.Garrity makes decent models, their noses are tiny. V.Klocke makes beautiful elves with noses of right size . He is also guilty of making long-nosed elves - like my alter with GW,for instance....
I'll be posting my eternal guards and may be glade guards this week, then there will be a break, as my cavalry is not ready yet...

OK, next update. I've found that I could not update the title of the topic, as some of the older images were wider, than 550 pixels - same with most of the new ones.
I've finished eternal guards - except one side of their banner, that I'd messed twice already....
Some of the models on the photos are from Rackham/Reaper.

I'll be working on 2 units of wardancers, and then will be finishing my cavalry. I'm also doing a stag hero...

I removed all [img] tags to make them pure offsite links. That worked. You can now update the initial post again if you wish.

Very nice painting and very very nice conversion work. Especially on the Glade Riders. The Treeman is very good and very funny. I was wondering what the first two test models were.

The treeman is great, although I wouldn't be sure whether to laugh or run away
Fantastic work on the whole, love the colour scheme How did you make the Spellsinger on the left? It's an awesome model, is it a conversion?

Re: Water-themed army in progress
Your work on the blues and greens is very nice. The amount of customization and good ideas people have makes me want to make a thousand different armies at once, simply to try all the painting and modeling oppertunities. Unfortuantly I have neither the time, patience or funds to do such a thing.

Re: Water-themed army in progress
I haven't even noticed that two more months are away and I have not painted a lot, being distracted by dwarfs and brets. I have 20 WR+GR, stag hero, eagle, and lots of wardancers, but all of them are not 100% ready...
2Spangleburt - the left spellsinger is Reaper model, I've just added several locks to her hair and driad's head on top of her stuff.
2 Council of eight - these test models are also from Reaper. I've been buying Reaper even before I learned about GW, and they have many great figures....
Thanks for the comments, I do hope that I'll be able to spend more time on my army - I need 2500 points up and running before November [hmm....a second treeman? ]

Re: Water-themed army in progress
Great work, real nice. The coulour scheme is very fresh looking.
I'm also amazed at how well all the different models from different manufacturers fit together. Although I must say that when you see the unit of eternal guard together the mix is a bit obvious. Do you also have a shot of the entire army up until now?
Which company made the middle spellsinger?
About the confrontation treekin, are there multiple orc incarnations or just one? I've been looking for nice treekin models, something in the line of the latest GW ents, but with a smaller attack on my money ^_~

I've tried it, but not satisfied with the result yet....
Most likely Masquerade, can be Freebooter too. Anyway, it is again W.Klocke sculpt.faeg nad teli wrote:Which company made the middle spellsinger?
I'm not an expert on Rackham, I happened to meet my friend in indy store, and shop owner pointed a box with ork hero to us - we bought the box, he got a hero, and I got a "tree". I think it is the only one...faeg nad teli wrote: About the confrontation treekin, are there multiple orc incarnations or just one? I suppose I can sculpt something like that myself, but I doubt I'll need more treekin....

Your work is A-MA-ZING. I like the colour scheme. As has been pointed out, it is refreshing to see an army that isn't painted in the traditional summer, autumn or winter themes. Well done indeed.
My revenge on you will not kill you, it will make you want to kill yourself.
