Although it's ugly, he did a GREAT job painting it!

I don't think that GW Treemen look that bad! :)

sheesh... It's suberbly painted but looks like a Nurgle daemon.

I'm a fan of the GW treeman though, it's decent looking and very convertable.

... well at least it doesn't look like a greater demon of Nurgle. The current Treemen look great imo. I actually purchased one the other day, I hope I do it justice.

I think the GW treeman is alright. At certain angles it seems a little insect-like, but generally it looks great. Take a look at mine that I easily converted from spare parts and paper mache'.

I like the new GW treeman a lot - in fact I think it's the best treeman they've ever done in WH (not saying much, since previous treemen have been abysmal).

That said, Treebeard from LotR is still the best-looking treeman around.

I use one new GW treeman for my regular treeman, and one old Durthu model that I've painted in Autumnal colours as my Ancient.

You know who makes a fine treeman? Glenn Lamprecht. I came across his army in a New Zealand White Dwarf, before seeing his completed Treeman in an American one. I thought it to be too Nurgle-ish, but I found it to be more and more impressive as time went on. It really has a sense of age, as it incorporates lots of moss, fungus, and lichen elements into the wood. He assembled it from Treemen from a number of GW ranges, and even threw in a Great Unclean One belly for more texture. He used a winter theme, so an overall lack of leaves is justified.

I couldn't track down a link to it, unfortunately.

Build it up so much that we're all on tender hooks then dash our hopes why don't you :P . Sounds interesting though, I'll do some research.

As for our current Treeman... nope, I stick to the 5th edition treemen.
Looks 10 times better.
