Ygritte is really trying...

Post by Ygritte »

Hello! My name is Kate and I'm collecting Wood Elves from 2 years. I rather enjoy painting minis than playing Warhammer, but month ago I discovered Mordheim and I'm really enjoy it.
I would like to show You my first steps in painting minis.

In the first place I painted unit of archers. No fireworks but you have to start with something. ;)

Than I painted unit of dryads.

Sorry for bad photos, but I made it without special equipment.

My third unit is Wild Riders- better painting, better photos... ;)

Than I returned to Dryads, and I painted my second unit.

Quite recently I painted second unit of archers. These time in colors of autumn. ;)

That's good painting indeed. Try to paint the vines on the elven cloaks different, it will give the models a much cooler appearance. You blended warm colors quite good, but there is that all green unit of archers. Try to add more shades and highlights. My Glade Guards are painted around Green, Blue Grey, Tan and Brown, varying from kinband to kinband.

Cheers

An excellent job of blending your colors on those cloaks. I have only recently seriously begun layering and highlighting. Blending is going to have to wait. Very nice.
So it's no longer the BRB, now it's the DERB. (Digital Edition Rule Book) I am all in for 9th Age.

Thank You for appreciation.;) I used green glaze from Games Workshop to painting this armour. I covered it with two tints of silver (Leadbercher and Runefang), than used glaze and in the end I highlighted it with Runefang silver. I hope that I helped and I really like to see Your works. ;)
