I got inspired by the new harlequins and wanted to paint some checkers. But I refuse to collect 40k so...

Just wanted to have one of these in my blog. They're my favourites of the newest models.

Haha! Nice usage of Wild Hunters bits. And tatoos are great, I wonder where one can take some prints of them.

Really nice Treeman, Baardah !

The dark wood contrasts nicely with the Markings. I might even steal that style for myself someday when I paint my guy.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with that color scheme. I've used those colors on my entire army over the last 5 years or so. But it does get boring doing the same colors over and over again, so that's why I picked up empire as well. Everyone knows they're a freakin traveling circus anyway ;)

I'm not so much a fan of the recent Hawks. While the small riders on the old one wheren't all that I did like them sitting on the Hawks neck.. this sitting on the back seems odd to me.

Is that hawk made from the Hobbit plastic eagles? That looks way better than the hawks from wood elf range.

Thanks. The bird is the swiftfeather roc from the High elf skycutter kit.

Today I made some progress on my BsB. Did some freehand on the banner.

Yes Cosmos. Its the one I have left after I sold the other wildrider steeds. Sets it apart nicely from the GR horses.

A little progress. The model is almost finished. I need to finish the base and add some highlights to the shield. It's not the best of pictures. But I'll whip out the light box when the model is 100% complete

Terrific banner! Love the free hand. Are you going to put a gem in the hole on araloth's head or leave it as is?

Thanks for nice comments :) I was thinking of putting one of the samurai looking horns from the cold one knights into the hole in the helmet.

Despite the death of the proper warhammer, I've found inspiration to finish Durthu. Not 100% happy with the sword though. Thinking of doing it all black/dark with orange/yellow OSL instead.
