And I had this beauty waiting for me when I got home. I suspect it's the work of popisdead?

Wow lovely looking mini, fair play pops.

I started painting mine, I'm just stuck on how to go from painting the base colours to making it look all nice and pretty...

Received my wonderful model yesterday, thanks to gws.
Anyone know a simple way to get a picture up here??? I've never used any of those picture hosting style sites and with my limited tech knowledge, simple "cut and paste" doesn't seem to work

Great to hear you received your mini! As for putting up pictures, you can always use the attachment feature on the site...

When you go to post a reply, if you scroll down a little under the textbox there are two tabs. One says 'Options' and is automatically selected. The other tab says 'Upload Attachment'. If you select that tab and then click 'Browse', you should be able to find the image file on your computer. Once you've selected the file, click the 'Add the file' button and then post!

I had just finished reading Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, in which he describes Shardplate (very cool magic armor), so I was inspired by that for the paint scheme. In my head it is Armour of Silvered Steel that he's wearing :-)

Not long left until the Miniature Exchange is 'officially' over, and most minis are accounted for at least (some people are running late, including myself!)

There may still be a need for a couple of back-up painters though; I'll keep everyone posted.

I'm extremely busy, but still here and trying to finish the mini. It should be in the post shortly.
I am sorry I don't have anything more positive to say, but I guess even this is better than not writing anything at all.

OK, finally put the finishing touches to my mini tonight. It'll be in the post tomorrow, and that'll be a little weight off my mind!

I've now had confirmation from everyone that they have either sent or will be sending their minis. That should mean (assuming everything arrives safely) that we won't need any backup painters, and everyone should have received a mini within the next couple of weeks!
