Scale is something like 30mm. I always thought they were metal but now that I think of it, I can't say for sure. One Finnish painter has painted a couple those, here is a pic for size ref:

Thanks. Extraordinary paintjobs on those. Anyway I think it's a nail in the coffin of my plan to use it as a great eagle. I really want the CMON owl, but it's just soo expensive.

Try to look on it as a very rare model, not as always-die great eagle model worth 50 points. Then save money for it (rob a bank, deal some drugs, mafia, become hitman, etc.) and buy it.
Also, those models are too cool not to have some. Think I'm gonna buy some, someday. Eventhough there's no werewolf/wolfman models in cca 28mm range, not even here, but boarman (???) is. <.<
Anyway, great find Baardah.

P.S. think you can still mount him on a 4×4cm base, and pretend he's an owl/eagle.

@ yuri: I'd happily pay the prize for the owl itself. The problem is the stupid Norwegian custom fees that in effect doubles the price. I earn plenty of money so it's not really an issue. It's just that paying 120$ for a 60$ model puts me off...
I'm actually now trying to sculpt an owl with the griffon from the IOB set as a basis. Its going pretty well, but there is something that is off with my sculpt and I can't put my finger on it. The face/head is the main problem.
I'll post up some pictures to get some feedback

If the model mentioned was larger, I'd do a kit bash conversion ....
