Grainy, and doesn't really fit the Rammie I know. You're more of the Swordsman (or with a massive club ). I would prefer if you used the one you have on Asur.org.uk

Re: Rate the Previous Poster's Avatar
Beithir, yours always reminds me of a centaur for some reason... I feel like the upper body must be attached to an equine lower body. Perhaps it's because we rarely see elves with their shirts off?
I like it though, and I think there's a lot to be said for maintaining the same avatar over a long period of time. 7.5/10.

Re: Rate the Previous Poster's Avatar
Thanks Tethlis! I can see what you mean about the centaur though...
As for yours, I must admit I've liked all your avatars so far but this would be my fave...
It certainly seems to have put a lot of effort put in (hand-drawn??) and sums up the Wood Elves character nicely I feel
9/10

Re: Rate the Previous Poster's Avatar
It started out with a black-and-white hand-drawn sketch, and then I believe the artist scanned it and colored it using a program. Scrivener is truly amazing, particularly since he usually does Skaven art and this was his second attempt at Wood Elves. He caught my eye with a piece of Waywatcher art that he submitted during the Hour of the Wolf, and I sent him a PM on Asur.org praising him. I asked if he ever did commissions, and he replied that he did not since he didn't always feel inspired by the ideas of others. He asked me to describe what I had in mind though, which I did.Beithir Seun wrote: It certainly seems to have put a lot of effort put in (hand-drawn??) and sums up the Wood Elves character nicely I feel

The campaign went on, and I didn't hear from him for a few weeks. Then he replied with a beautiful black-and-white image. You can imagine how pleased I was! I made a few comments, such as lengthening the blade, but the color choices were entirely his doing.
I really loved my old avatar (the hooded Elf from the Warhammer: Mark of Chaos trailer) but couldn't turn down a personalized image.

Re: Rate the Previous Poster's Avatar
Ah so you got it from Scrivener! Now that you mention it, it has a remarkable similarity to his avatar over on Asur.org during the HotW campaign! It really is brilliant! I might pop over to Asur.org and peruse some of his other work...

It's an elf, which is fitting, but too mainstream. It's also pretty dull with only one main colour on it.
Thanks

I like the colours, I like the "Kyte" (both the font and the text on an avatar). The only ba thing would be the Chaos Dwarf Still, a solid 8/10 for appearance.

your new avatar is really better. It doesn't look like 256 colours any more.

Nice colors, appropriately elven, very wise looking.
Is it just me, or does it look a lot like David Bowie? Was that intentional?

It's a nice drawing, although a border would probably help. 8/10

6/10 it's our Queen. but as b/w and such small it is not superb looking. Maybe Mel does a coloured version for you ;-)

but you are right. The downsized image really looks a little bit as Bowie

no, I don't think so. It is the elven king from the ending sequence of "Realms of Arkania Vol. 2: Star Trail" aka "Das Schwarze Auge: Sternenschweif"Tethlis wrote:Nice colors, appropriately elven, very wise looking.

All to blurry and grainy, you need to look twice befor you see it's a bowman. And it reminds me more of a human bowman then a elf, maybe robin hood? 3,7/10

Its a pretty good picture, but it is a little odd looking to me, sorta like something you would see on cartoon network. 6.7
But I get some points for relevancy to my name? (Sethayla = warhawk kindred)Sethayla:

You've never played The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess? Its a pretty good picture, but it is a little odd looking to me, sorta like something you would see on cartoon network. 6.7
I like it, but again it loses points for lack of colour, so 7/10

6/10. It's an interesting picture, but not very easy to see.
