Nag, how is the webmag-planning coming along? Thought I post here rather than pm the question to you, so it turns up on the Recent Topic list.

Good luck with it, im really looking forward for the first issue :)

You need another illustrator? Well here I am ;D

I showed off a drawing of a Dryad in the painting and modelling section and everybody seemed to really like it, except some thought it was a too feminine - and it is much more feminine than GWs Dryads but I did that on purpose. Some of the commenters thought I should ask you if you wanted me to draw for the webmag, which would be great fun. I won't, however, be able to draw an insane lot of drawings since I've got a lot of other things to do.

Here's the thread: http://lightalliance.co.uk/Asrai/viewto ... highlight=

The drawing: http://www.deviantart.com/view/23002398/

My net-gallery: http://www.shin0.deviantart.com

Oh and by the way, an asrai webmag sounds like a nice idea seeing as there are so many asrai players popping up everywhere ^^

It being "too" feminine doesn't matter, different wiews are always good.

I've created a new group, the webmag illustrators for all the illustrators, grapic designers and art directors. Shinobi and Anardakil are the only members so far.
DeathJester; sorry, only illustrative design, as in images and drawings are needed. At least for now. We could use people to fix blurry images and get them all to have the same backgrounds though. Can you do stuff like that?
Upyr: This will take some serious time. I need to speak with some people before I can get things rolling.

Hello I've finally got round to posting some photos of a very small part of my collection under Oldies but Goodies on the modelling and painting section.

If you like them let me know and I'll see what else I can do.

Of course i can do that Negi, it wouldn't be a problem to fix things like that..... Well the same backgrounds at least, it's not always that easy to fix a blurry image, without retaking it.....

A Usergroup is a select group of members set aside for a particular task, in this case, the Asrai WebMag. On the top bar is a box marked "Usergroups", it'll detail information on all the available usergroups as well as the ones you're part of.

I'm a graphic Designer / Illustrator by trade.

I wouldn't mind doing some illustrations (colour or black and white).

here's a short personal protfolio: http://www.intelligent.ca

The Blood Keep shortly played with the idea of a webmag, but it never got off the ground.... I came up with the name though; "The Necropolitan"... I think they're starting it up again...

Have you decided on a name?

We could name the Webzine the Fletched Arrow Shot Scroll.... Fess, for short.

And Nagathi, you know full well I've sent my fluff in, although I could always give more if you want, :P
And yes, I am still interested in the Webzine.

Since most of my personal drawings have nature as a grand theme, I'll apply for illustrator. I also have some knowledge of Photoshop to enhance images, but I know nothing about lay-out.

I'd like to offer my services in the P&M department also, but the lack of a good camera and the fact that I'm already reporting all work on my WE for the Druchii.net Tale of X Gamers kinda rules that out. Still, if you check my topic in the Painting Forum, decide the quality of the pictures is sufficient, and are not bothered by the lack of exclusivity: I'd gladly help out a little.

EDIT: Just had an idea, why don't we make it a Seasonal? It fits us Wood Elves perfectly.

Just a quick idea:

You want to make it a monthly magazine, but I don't think you should do that. What I mean is that when you're working with dates and deadlines it will soon get stressful/boring etc. And what about vacations and so on?

I'd suggest you go ahead but don't set dates, just make it when you have enough material!! That way I think you can guarantee a high quality. This would mean that sometimes the mag would be after two or three weeks but it could also be 1.5 month in times of less inspiration or time.

But please make it happen :D Looking forward to it.

I agree, thats a good idea. Or at least wait until you have enough material for at least 2 editions before you start. But I guess your doing that already ;)

If the ToR AoD finishes soon I will write a story about my charachter there and that event, using the (swiftly written) parts I already have in the topic and then send it in. If nothing else, it could be filling.

And any battles I fight will go under the fluff-knife and be sent to Nag. I hope this will happen! I realise its taking time and stuff, but at least we have a Lot of people wanting to help out.

Well hello there, fellow Belgian.

I don't like your suggestion, actually. An undefined schedule would leave a lot of us working very slowly, which is something we should avoid. It would also mean that we'd have mags in quick succession in the beginning, and then only very slowly as ideas and motivation start to fade. I still think it should be a Seasonal: this way, we still have a lot of time, and problems such as site crashes, important editors going on holidays etc. Furthermore, we could theme each magazine to its season, not only in terms of lay-out, but also articles (such as an Eternal Guard tactics discussion and painting article in a Winter issue, or expanded fluff for Wild Riders and Orion in a Summer edition).

Maybe seasonal is indeed the best way to go, so that there is enough time to make it a quality thing. A monthly one would be too difficult at a certain point I think because people would see the writing as an obligation after a while...

I'd just suggest then to make 'special issues' when circumstances ask for it, like some sort of newsflash/special edition, with less pages than a normal edition for e.g. the new (due November in Belgium if I'm not mistaken) Dwarfs with their new caracteristics etc?

And of all the places to encounter a Belgian ;)
