Wood war!!!
Hiya!!!!!!
Well I must to admite that I'm not a very nice general. Sometimes my units die because I give a stupid order... In contrasts, I think that I'm not a bad gardener!
I have a blog with some close friends. In it we show up things that we are doing to play a campaigning soon. We'll need a scenery with too many trees. We made it with modelling paste and biz wire (I know my english is horrible, sorry).
So, I glad to introduce our trees!!!
We did stumps too
And our small wood!
What do you think about our trees?
I'll try to show much in the future!
Tx.

Re: Wood war!!!
I love the way you did treetops. What is that foliage you used?
I personaly do thinner trees wit more branching, but yours looks easier to play with, since my branches doesn't leave much space under neath for miniatures. This picture is an example, how my trees looks like, but this is not my own tree http://img0.etsystatic.com/000/0/570238 ... jpg?ref=l2 If you really want to see my tree that is colored, i could take a picture, but i'm lazy :P
But my treetops looks much worse than yours, if you tell me what foliage you used for yours, I am going to copy paste you hard!
BTW not only your trees but the rest of it looks also wery cool, mind you post some pictures of that forest rivers going on there?

Re: Wood war!!!
Thanks everybody for the coments.
Froboy you can fin a tutorial here! I'll try to do one short tutorial in english, but if you see the pictures, you can get it!
Balakul. We use clump foliage from woodland Scenics. We wanted make tree that we can use single or in group that¡s the reason why our trees aren't thin. Nowdays we are making several kind of trees, thinner too.
Play around a tree with to many branches is not easy. We must to do enought branches but we can't do a lots because we'll use it to play. I wish see urs don't be lazy.
We have a river, I'll show up soon too!
Tx

That's some really nice terrain! The trees look great and I love the little bridge you've built over the river.
Did you print out a big map of the Warhammer world? Or what else did you take your pictures on? It looks really cool

The map was a Games Workshp "gift" with the 6th warhammer fantasy edition if you bought the core box.

Thanks for all coments!
Frogboy we didn't use plasticar. We use extruded polystyrene cutted, is much cheaper than plasticard.

Hmmm... Really? That was the starter box with Empire and O&G, right? Because I bought that too but don't remember ever having a map like that. Oh well, it was such a long time ago anyway.Comi wrote:The map was a Games Workshp "gift" with the 6th warhammer fantasy edition if you bought the core box.
And I love the way you made your pathways. Are you going to make more board pieces and make them modular? As in being able to fit them together in multiple ways. In that case, make sure your roads fit together!

Re: Wood war!!!
Wonderful! Thank you very much for the pictures and information.
I'm in need of some trees for my deployment zone. I'm not actually super big on the modelling front, but the GW forests seem to be bigger than 6" in diameter.

Re: Wood war!!!
Thanks Valmir for your coment. I think that aevery Wood Elven needs a forest to put in there, so as Wood Elven we must seed or make a great wood!
We are keeping work in our tabletop.
We have a big hill and we need some scenary to put in there. We are glad to show you up a vegetable pach that we did.
You can see more pictures here.
Have you ever done one of this?
