Re: Storm of Magic, incoming
So, at the very least, we need a points reduction. Also, however, we do need a facelift on the following units: glade riders, wild riders, warhawk riders, way watchers, and possibly wardancers. I don't find eagles to be that effective, given ranged attacks, but at 50 pts., they're just fine. I agre...

Re: Storm of Magic, incoming
It amazes me that GW thinks this is the time to release an expansion when there is some armies, like us WE, that still have 6th edition army books. New model by this Trish sounds good though, but still.....stupid to waste time with this expansion BS when they have more pressing things to doo. :thum...

Re: Thunderstomp Question
I think I will still give the Lore of Beasts a shot. Lore of the Beast is very viable, you only need few things: * Instead of TK and TM, your army needs to be focused around dryads. Dryads are OP with beast lore. WDs are strong. TK are decent, TM do not care. * Cause you need to run multiple dryad ...

Re: Thunderstomp Question
Q: Do Stomps or Thunderstomps benefit from any other special rules, equipment or magic items? Or vice versa? (p76) A: No to both questions. FAQ doesn't mention anything about spells. Spells are not special rules, equipment or items. Yes, spells are not special rules. On other hand, spell effects it...

Re: Regrowth Question
From my understanding, Lifebloom can be used on characters, monsters, or even war machines, so long as it has more than one wound - in other words, it can't bring a dead model back to life, but it can heal a wounded model. Your understanding is completely correct. And that is why empire with STank ...

- What are your general thoughts on the Ogre Kingdoms, as opponents, under the 8th edition rules? They become very viable army. And very unique. People often do not realize one awesome side-effect of 8th ed rules - if you wish to play your army effectivelly, you will find that each and every army n...

1) when a model on an elven steed attacks, does the steed attack too? Just as Beith stated. I wish only add the fact that the steed is not attacking at the some time as the rider, but it is attacking on his own I (what is in WE case after the riders). The fact weather it can attack or not (ie weath...

Re: Is this a Challenge?
If two characters are in base contact, a challenge can be issues by one of them (first by the charger, and then by the chargee if the charger doesn't issue one I believe). Just for sure, to pevent possible misunderstanding. To be able to issue / accept challenge, the characters does not need to be ...

The WR keeps his longbow right ? It's not said he looses it, the FAQ clearly says he keeps it. Can he take a magical one ? Well, I don't have any problem with that, do you have ? It's not an additionnal weapon, he already has one. Plus, I don't see a "Can't take a magical longbow" or a &q...

Well, I'll try to explain. The question has been asked on the big french-forum, and the aswer was clear. Re: Lore of Life vs. Stone of Rebirth
Actually the wording on the stone of rebirth is that the stone activates when the bearer "Is reduced to one wound". There is nothing to say it deactivates if the bearer has two or three wounds at some later point in the game. There was TONS of discussions about Stone of rebirth. Pklease d...

i disagree. and, i cannot find anything in the book that says you can divert the ability to a model with maximum wounds. I will ask otherwise. Is there anthing forbidding that? Any reason why? if you could, i should also be able to direct my attacks against a model that is already slain. You can no...

what if you have no other friendly models nearby that have taken wounds? it seems that the caster would be forced to regain the wound. that's just how i interpreted it. if you can divert the effect to another model who already has full wounds, then yes - no problem. The reason a BSB cant use a normal bow is because one hand is always holding the banner so he cannot feasibly pull back the string. Only the old-school BSBs. The new generations have better schools and can do such things easily ;) Do not look for logic and IRL references behind the rules. They are ...

Everytime you cast successfully with a spell from the Lore of Life, you regain a lost wound, either on the caster or on a nearby model...it doesn't say "you MAY regain a lost wound." Yes. Either the caster or another friendly model. if you hope to keep the 2+ ward, you need to try not to ...

OK, we all know that mounted models can benefit from magic spears only on the turn they charge, because after the spear is not used. Nothing? Really? And what about the AB rules?nothing is said about a prohibition from taking a magic mundane weapon, the same way a WR or Eternal do not lose his longbow, or the same way a BSB is not prohibited from taking a magical longbow.
