Treesinging is NOT a shooting attack (or magic missile) because it has unlimited range and does not require LOS. Also, since, unlike Fury of the Forest, it does not specify 'unengaged', AFAIC, you can attack an enemy in hand-to-hand with you. I think instead you have someone who WANTS to win very ba...

When I posted a very similar list it was suggested thatI remove the Branch Nymphs to leave 8 Dryads and use the saved points to add a fourth Treekin to each of those units.

They are almost the classic definition of Neutral alignment, both in their attitude to the rest of the world and their own organization. They care only for the Forest and themselves, in that order.

It may not work on a tank, but a 'Beared' Branchwraith would be nasty against most things. How about a 'Beared' Ancient

When you get to place your free wood, you place it VERY carefully to block bolt throwers and still leave an opening to his Anvil. If not possible, then place the Dragon behind the wood and use GG to shoot the bolt thrower down from outside Thunderer range, then walk around the wood or move the wood ...

1000 points of Elfs

I have my 1000 points of Trees sorted out and plan to continue to expand my 500 points that got spanked to 1000 points. I'm interested in 1000 points of Elfs (and other things) but no trees. Spellsinger, Lvl2, CS 150 Noble, Alter, la, s, gw, HoTH, HoDA 158 2 x 10 GG 240 2 x 6 GR, mus 306 1 x 8 WD 14...

Bow of Loren + Arcane Bodkins with Highborn on Dragon, maybe HoDA too. The Anvil cannot do too much to the Highborn. The Dragon is a Large Target and has to be hidden beside woods and out of LOS of warmachines, but he can see over enemy units and shoot at the Anvil. He cannot pin the Dragon with the...

A Dragon should probably not be fighting in h-t-h until turn 3 or 4 unless the enemy are running down your throat. An uncommitted Dragon is a huge force, capable of dominating half the table due to its potential. As both a flyer and a large target, it can see over things and get to almost anywhere. ...

You don't need to gut your army, just weaken it slightly or try some inefficient combinations. This will probably make you a much better general as you learn to deal with your self-made problems. Swap armies?? Play a 2 on 2, 1000 point a player game with your friends and, if necessary, swap round th...

Your opponent sounds like a Smashmouthhammer player. Smashmouth will always have a problem against WE, so it doesn't matter what he uses.

TK can certainly give us problems.

Almost all of my armies, WHFB and 40K are winter themed. Easier to paint when you are colourblind.

Yes, it looks a bit odd sometimes, but so do other armies when they play on snow themed boards.

Welcome to the Forest.

If he were to go magic heavy, that might help. Asrai don't like magic missiles much. The problem that an empire gunline will have is that to maximize shooting he will need to deploy on quite a wide frontage, unless he goes for some sort of ridiculous stepped five level hill. If he expands his fronta...

With the Broach, there is a small chance that they will survive the grinding in the first turn and will get to fight again. If they can fight for two turns, mine and the opponent's, the Tank is almost certain to be ruined; as long as the spell lasts.

Simple answer is that you cannot. Your opponent gets to define cheesy, not you Asrai are an asymmetric army. They do not fight 'fair' (Think Minutemen vs British, Guerillas vs Regulars, Parthians vs Romans) We do not meet enemy strengths head on, in fact we try to avoid and neutralize their strength...

At that price he could cripple the tank and if he died to grinding, which I think is certain because the Ward will fail when the Tank grinds back, he should have neutralized the tank. A Tank with 6 or fewer wounds will eventually destroy itself. Looking at this from a different perspective, which of...

I'm looking for something that can put a serious dent in a Steam Tank. It helps that all attacks hit.

There was cover. I could have moved into the soft sand where there were some dunes. I'm not sure how that would have helped.

At least I know that no one else was able to do any better.

OK. So what do we have that can kill the beast? My treekin just weren't hard enough. I was able to cause one wound, but he was able to get 12 grind hits in a single turn, which killed them and with US 10, once I'd lost a couple of wounds off each of my Dryad units, there didn't seem to be much for m...
