Re: Tethlis' Army Blog: Batrep, 1st game vs WoC 5/2
Another question, when you deployed your woods, did you do so before or after you had chosen board edges? Quite keen to know what the community consensus is on this, because knowing where your enemy is coming from when you place them could be really useful. If not outright dirty in the case of drop...

Re: Limited Edition Number Tracker
I'm going to make a cup of tea... Don't forget the biscuits, they'll cheer you up  The only time I've pre-ordered anything from GW was when the Tomb Kings book came out, several years ago now. Back then though, GW were actually pretty timely with their dispatches, and I got the book first thin...

Re: #bandwagon
Why do people get mad about band wagoners? The more people that buy the models and book the more GW thinks the army is successful and will support it. Which is exactly the sort of thing a bandwagoner would say ;) Jus' kidding :D Seriously though, I can understand both stances. I definitely don't se...

Re: Book? where art thou?
Well I get mine tomorrow, pick it up from the localish GW. It still confuses me how people end up with a book before, like the guy in Germany or who ever it was leaking all the stuff early. GW has to ship out new release deliveries to their stores and to independent stockists. I know my local store...

Re: Book? where art thou?
That's often the problem with pre-ordering; it's usually quicker to actually just go out and buy it on release day. Of course, you run the risk of missing out, but if you get there early you'll be OK, and you get your book 3-4 days before you would if you pre-order.

Spring 2014 Painting Challenge [VOTING]
Hello, and welcome to the voting thread for the Spring 2014 Painting Challenge! With the new army book racing over the horizon (and, indeed, already in the hands of some lucky people), we challenged you to get that final unit painting before all the new models hit. We've had some fantastic entries, ...

If I remember correctly, they're now mounted on "Steeds of Kurnous". That could be either a horse or a stag, so I think you'd be fine using the old horse-mounted models.

Re: What happened to Herald
It's something I've wondered myself for a while. I don't know whether to read anything into it, but it wasn't long after we made him a Council Elder that he went off the grid :smirk: (Froggy, beware!) It's a shame that he's not been seen for some time, but these things happen unfortunately. Maybe th...

Froggy, did you deliberately turn that last model around to get a picture of her butt?
I've seen the models a few times, and they do look pretty impressive. It doesn't look like I'll be starting playing any time soon though, as no-one else at my club has ever expressed an interest

Re: Feeling Queasy
Personally, until that book is in my hands, I'm taking everything with a pinch of salt - even the confirmed stuff. It's easy for people to see the bad in all the changes when they're taken in isolation and out of context. Until we can see the bigger picture of the army book as a whole, I don't think...

I thought that was "common knowledge". The fey enchantress even has the same stats as an elven mage iirc. The Fey Enchantress isn't the same as the Lady of the Lake. It's "common knowledge" that the Fey Enchantress is a Wood Elf, and is tasked by Ariel to keep the Bretonnians 'u...

Interesting. Mat Ward did say in the latest White Dwarf that the new book reveals some new secrets and answers several questions. This clearly looks to be one of them. WFRP has revealed a lot of hints in the past, but nothing quite this major...

Re: Wood Elves rumours
I'm not so sure Ariel will be included, or even that it's "appropriate" to include her. I remember Mat Ward saying in the designer's notes for our current book that things would have to be extremely desperate for Ariel to take to the battlefield, which is why she wasn't included in the boo...

Looking at the Event Pack, they've scheduled 30 minutes for each game. So half an hour, or less, for each game.
