Re: Army againts Dwarfs
That's a fine plan, but he should deploy to prevent that. If he has a hill for his warmachines, and all Dwarfs seem to have that hill, he will deplot his infantry so that there is not enough space between his units in front and the warmachines for your eagles to land and so you will not be able to c...

Re: Tactical charge question
Here's what I mean. http://i45.tinypic.com/xli4pi.png The Wild Riders are fighting the Furies. All the Furies are in combat and as many Wild Riders as possible are fighting after the wheel on the charge. When the Alter charges into the rear, because all the Furies are already in combat, then the Alt...

Re: Army againts Dwarfs
Well used, the original army should be able to handle most Dwarf builds, and many other armies. The scouts are mobile re-directors and, comparatively, disposable. They can also capture and contest quarters. I would be happy to use this army and expect to win with it against Dwarfs most of the time. ...

Re: Army againts Dwarfs
Both players having fun is important, so you need to take this advice with that warning because although it may increase the chance of you winning, it may also increase the chance of your opponent having an un-fun game. Most Dwarf armies fight in a static or semi-static formation, partly because the...

Some of the authors are no longer active on the board, so I think the name should be there for 'credit' reasons and the bottom is an appropriate place.

Tau have very little robust close-combat capabiltiy, so I would suggest 'nids as the better of those to options. Good conversion opportunities too.

Re: [looking for:]Eternal Guard Conversion
Do you meant the arms themselves, which would not be used, or the arm mounting points on the torso? A model can be constucted from DE/WE head, DE spear and arms, WE GG torso and legs. A little filing is required to remove some of the DE spikes and some of their residual armour can be painted as brac...

No. The casualties against the Champion, leading the unit, do not flow over to the rest of the models, and there can be no Overkill because the HPA cannot Challenge.

Re: wood elves are to ????
Some Eldar builds and the semi=obsolete Dark Elves are most like Wood Elves to me. It would also be possible to construct some Tyrranid armies like Wood Elves too.
I play an inefficient mostly ground-based DArk Elf army, modelled as Exodites.

Re: Winter 2009 Modelling Challenge
It needs to be a model you could WYSIWYG as a WE noble as defined, so requires a bow. I don't think a bow is a Master option. I see no reason why you could not base your model on Druchii bits. My Wild Riders and Dark Riders use the same models, although I also have some additional Dark Riders with r...

Re: 750pts armylist - is magic worthy?
Our magic supports our army. Your army really does not need magic support. If I were going with magic, I would prefer a Lvl2 spellsinger with Calaingor's Stave and a dispel scroll. They can use all 4 power dice on 1 - 4 castings of Treesinging. The problem with this is the great number of points to ...

I was aware of that thread, but perhaps not up to date with it, and did not connect this with that. A title change here might help others. A silly question. Are there any generally accepted team game rules? My most recent disaster had 3000 points of allies, vs 3000 of allied Chaos, the problem being...

Re: New Beastman rumors
Don't worry Giladis, that's not the real one. The Lost Kindreds have the 'real' Hunting Spear. There's some good ideas in that (our) army list. The Sacred Glade/Waystone would be another good anti-magic non-caster item.

Re: How Many Characters To Take????
But it isn't a 1000 point list, it's half a 2250 point list and the parts and units should be selected on that basis. I swould not recommend a Treeman in 1000 points, but one in half a 2250 point list is certainly reasonable. The idea is to concentrate on the strengths of each ally and to cover the ...

It's not THAT bad, I only have four teeth with root canals on that side of my head, and only three of them are in the upper jaw, so it's a 1/3 shot the first time.

It would have helped had Scion explained WHY he wanted the information in the first place. It is also likely that Beithir knew why Scion wanted the data, and since I did not, it explains our different attitudes. This is the first that I knew it had anything to do with a LEAF article. I'm also assumi...

Visited my dentist and they think it might be anaerobic bacteria in a bad root canal done yeas ago but since they are not sure which of the teeth it might be in, the best idea they have is to extract them one at a time until the infection stops!
