All characters can take a Kindred of some sort. The mages (lord and hero mages) can only take one of them. They work pretty much like Honours, and does not count towards the magic item limit.

The Rulebook got it wrong. Fast Cav can move as normal (no marching or shooting though) if they successfully rally after having fled as a charge reaction. No automatical rallying.

It would not work on cannonballs if you have more than one wound when you're struck.
It does work when you're down on your last wound, until you fail it basically. That's how I interperate it anyway.
