Re: Wild Riders
I must admit I play shooty, I keep mine back (behind my archers and preferably behind buildings) so I hardly have casualties before I engage (I usually try a side charge after a unit of GG has been destroyed). If you let them charge across the battlefield I can see the need for.. redundancy

Re: Wardancers and Waywatchers
I think it works (not the KB on MC tough)... but as you say.. situational.
BTW if you kill all comers (those allowed to fight in the building) before they strike.. do they still get to hit back?

Re: Orion conversion
What do you have in mind for this conversion? I can't really see the model you posted (nice elf lord I'll admit, a bit more HE looking though) fitting with Orion as we know him from the lore.
I think a Stag centaur orion would be awesome.. but way out of my league .

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
Actually there was only 1 rumor (a large article though) that said that. Most other rumors where in line with this one which is why I thought that that rumor was just someone having fun. I think this is just a starter set with only the basic rules needed to play with those troops. I've played for 6 ...

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
Well more rumors (BoLS)... the new base kit is now rumored to be pretty small in model size really. I actually thought the lots of models when I started for a relatively cheap price where a good way to attract people.. if you start with a lot of models.. well having a lot of models is always nice is...

Re: Wild Riders
I use 2 x 5 WR. If I had more I might use 3 x 5 though.
There is no real use in getting 2 ranks since you will loose relatively much attacks. Going much wider means you'll be a bit less manouverable. I think 6-7 would be optimal to get most in base contact against 5 wide 20 mm based units.

Re: New ETC List
Maybe I need to try a waystar once.. I've never been convinced about putting 7.5% of my army (2K we play mostly) in things that can't directly do damage though. Usually we play with 2-3 woods already on the table though so I might skip the acorns and just hope for a wood near our deployment zone and...

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
While it's undoubtably something real it hardly looks like a rule book to me. For a new edition lore book it has a lot of mentions of the past.. could be so I guess but it's not how I'd write it. Could it be a WD article or something? (I've not actually read a WD in a while so no idea if it matches ...

No it doesn't unless its a special kind of hill, regular hills do not give DT as far as I know.

Re: Orion's Equerries?
He's fast though he should be in combat turn 2 and against a target of his choice. The dogs will help with allocating hits for that first turn of shooting. Artillery is a problem ofc.

Re: Table too small
If you make the plates lock together (wither with the mechanism Bill mentions or with something else (like the hinges I mentioned or whatever)) you could also put a few small blocks/strips of wood on each side so they fall just over the edge of the "regular" table. This prevents most accid...

Re: Table too small
If you use 3 plates of plywood 2x4 like I said you can probably transport them and store them easier than a single large plate. But maybe your floorboards will work (they could end up not being completely flat but you'll find that out soon enough I guess :D) Joolz: that mat wouldn't increase his tab...

Re: Table too small
Well the table isn't that small.. you could certainly try it. If you want a 6x4 you'll just need to place some boards over it I guess. 3 boards of 4x2 next to each other maybe? I'm sure you could create some sort of locking system for them. Maybe just some small hinges.. if you place a green table c...

Re: Orion's Equerries?
Killing 30 knights and still being alive is good enough :D I'm tempted to try and play him once.. against the right opponent.. not sure what opponent that would be though. My group doesn't play 50% lords usually.. so taking him would mean no lvl 4, which makes taking him a great investment really. M...

No I've been paying attention to the rumors but I've not heard anything about that. They've been releasing 40K books like mad though.. so if they are smart they release them quick.... but that is just speculation. Read nothing.

Didn't read it all but since I have to go now but: First with a single casting dice Liadriel, cast earthblood on herself, which cast sucessfully and the undead allowed to cast. Next with 3 dice, she cast throne of vines on herself. Risky move 1 dicing your first spell.. orll a 1 or a 2 (33%) chance ...

He killed 78 knights in a single game? And 47 in another? How do 47 knights even move around the table.
Did he die? I guess he was worth his points in all those matches?

Re: Orion's Equerries?
I'm not surprised the hounds got smashed. But it's at least 2 attacks that didn't go against Orion.
How did Orion do in your fights? His no armor saves allowed should make him decent in combat right against stronger troops right?
