Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
IMHO they should just make a small army box for 750 points with unique models from the core troops and 1-2 characters which are not as good looking or advanced (so no multipose, no left over bits you pay for which you don't need). That way there would be a low entry cost for each army (and lower cos...

Re: Artisan's Contest May 2015 [VOTING THREAD]
Congratulations Hyarion. It was a tough contest: this time a lot of good entries I'd say. I really like these contests, fun to create this stuff... but I guess I'll have to wait a bit for the next one? Congratulations Hyarion, you are the winner :D  Thanks to everyone taking part and votin...

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
It doesn't matter if your black or white - MJ But let's not get off track here. Rumours rumours rumours, saying one set of rumours makes more sense because it's written better is just crazy. I mean the guy who writes this stuff is just bullet pointing it's hardly meant to be some kind of legal docu...

Re: Orion's Equerries?
The hounds are warbeasts, Orion is a monster: so no LoS. I guess they: give 4 attacks (frenzy incl) at T4 and WS 4 and with a 6+ ward save and are unbreakable so can give Orion as a unit some extra power. They don't give LoS but they do force assigning hits when shot at. So instead of taking 5 hits ...

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
Not only more believable but it also fits more with the previous rumours.. but I'll see in a few weeks. It's not like I'm going to do anything about it.. or anything with it till it's released anyway

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
These rumours seem more probable to me. More in line with recent 40 K and end times developments AND more in line with previous rumours.

Re: 3500pts - advice against Ogres needed!
I can see all your glade glade units dont have musicians, so they cant reform AND shoot at a fast incoming enemy from the side or behind. I would also ask why you have chosen not to bring any great eagles, they could help you get one more round of shooting off or stall something nasty. and im a bit...

Re: Round Robin Hammer
Well if noone minds a lot of proxying and you can all bring all those models and some extra to the same location for the days needed I see no real problems. Could be fun. It's not really my sort of thing but that could be since I never play "real" tournaments so if I'd spend one of more da...

Re: Round Robin Hammer
Sounds like a fun idea but you'd need a lot of time unless you want to be meeting with all those players often (logistics might be hard) Not to mention you'd need not only to read the army book when building the army but you'd also need to know what units there are to play with and since army lists ...

Re: Preparations against DE
1. I will follow your (and mine) gut feeling and not do the waystalkers, I'd have to proxy them anyway. I only play 1 game / 2 weeks max so trying stuff out isn't really my thing.. I just want to win and kill the dark elves. 2. Life might indeed be the best idea but leaves me with no real way to kil...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
I actually played a game with folding fortress a few games ago... I'd build a big treefortress for it (not very good looking but it worked as a fortress... didn't do much for me in game.. but the opponent was: WTF are you bringing into the shop now.. which was worth it all in itself.

Re: Eternal guards, how many?
-I used the wild riders defensively to protect the flanks of the eternal guard. In the end they survived the battle but did not bring their points back. Maybe i will swap one of them to bring warhawk riders to kill the boltthrowers. I was afraid to ride the wild riders to the bolt throwers because ...

Preparations against DE
So I'm playing against my DE opponent again. He usually brings a level 4 sorc, alot of corsairs (30 ish), and witch elves (20 ish), 5 warlocks, 5-10 cold ones 2-3 reaperboltthrowers some darkriders and maybe some darkshards,a chariot or a hydra. Last game he brought the nasty Pegasus master with clo...

Re: Flaming Sword of Ruin
I played a game stacking flaming sword with flaming arrows and it was an unexpected success. The unit was comprised of a level 4 fireweaver and 20 glade guard (7x3) with full command and Starfire arrows versus ogres. I actually took out a unit of 8 iron guts before they reached my lines with that c...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
Disclaimer: I have not heard anything to indicate that "not much would change". At this point I would take even that claim to be a rumor to be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism and a dose of salt not recommended by the American Medical Association. I know we don't always credit GW w...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
There are quite a few reactions on BOLS at least that it has "proved" to be a hoax.. hard to tell for me if it is or not. I tend to think it's a hoax.. but I'd not really mind it if it's true. It does go contrary to most rumors that not much would change (except the fluff)... new names for...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
Aezeal take a minute and read that link i posted. If true at all, deities are back in a big way I only found the same thing Ramesis had already posted right? So a good and an evil god of most things. Elves with seperate gods and a seperate world. Seems ok. I'd hoped they'd just live in a forest but...
