Last game I used two units of 14 glade guards with hagbane arrows against empire. They did quite well, sitting at the back of the board. Killing a warmachine in turn one is fantastic! They did not do a lot of damage against hordes but I had eternal guards and three Treeman for that.

I don't think one of them looks better per se, it really depends on the techniques. However, your stags are in very natural brown colours, so I would go for skin colour. A Bright green forest spirit look won't look very natural I think.

Also, most people do not have 90 eternal guards, so it should not be a big problem.

You should perhaps make some kind of diaroma on the big bases. What about a ranger trying to cut of the head of a dryad (the are hunting bad spirits right?) who tries to attack the eternal guard or something like that?

I quite like the old Durthu, but like you, the new Durthu has grown on me. I will for now use my old Durthu (on a bigger base), and make my plastic Treeman as a regular Treeman. I do agree with the poster above me, and I might eventually change him with the new one.

If you face knights often you could take a highborn with bow of loren and no-armour-save arrows. You will probably need another combat unit too, to keep the enemy away from you gladeguards.
