Re: why are we so afraid of cannons?
There's no points in AoS so to counter cannons just bring 3 dragon lords

Why does it matter what the plural of moose is? I'm the only one here aren't I?
I'd give my condolences to your sister; but wouldn't I be a traitor to the moose species if I did?

Re: why are we so afraid of cannons?
When I played my issue with cannons was not really the one shot kills. Although, it is absolutely crushing to have your most beautiful model blown off the board by an ugly cannon. The problem with cannons is that leaving your monster with one, two, even three wounds significantly reduces his effecti...

I think you somehow improved as a painter. I was always impressed by how crisp your work is, but that bsb is just insane. Freehand like that gives me chills.

Re: Stag unit in action
I don't think so. Something about a unit only declaring one charge a turn or something, and when one character charges that uses the whole units designated charge.

Re: How to Use Eternal Guard
What's proper to you? 24-26 with Full Command, Razor Banner, a Highborn, BSB, and Spellweaver in 2250 seems proper to me. In 2000 points you'd probably have to make do with 2 Nobles and a Spellweaver, running the Eternal Guard as a special choice. 32, with completely kitted out characters. That mea...

Re: How to Use Eternal Guard
I run a proper Eternal Guard unit at 2250, and you can probably get away with it all the way down to 2000. Unfortunately, below that, you're probably pushing the limit as far as how much you can get out of the Eternal Guard while still having useful other units. Maybe we have different ideas of wha...

Re: How to Use Eternal Guard
Probably no more than 20-40 GG, you would want to take some treekin and dryads. The treekin are the hammers and dryads act as redirectors to stop your Eg from getting crushed by multiple enemy units. Always take great eagles. It depends on the size of the game, because until about 2400 you can't run...

Re: Stag unit in action
You should do fairly well against ogres with this type of list, they tend to struggle against death stars.(Unless they bring their own  ) If you can get the charge off early and get into his high value units you should have and easy time earning enough points to pull out a win. Just don't let ...

Kindreds will probably be taken out, but as Pop said we will get several character entries. Similar to what high elves have with the lothern characters and stuff.

Re: 1k all cav - feasible?
Both those items aren't even worthwhile, use the points on survival items. Especially in 1000 point games these items are wayy too expensive for what they will give you. As for skaven even at 1000 points they can take 200 slaves quite comfortably and he will hide on a board edge so he only has one f...

Re: 1k all cav - feasible?
Honestly you will almost certainly lose against skaven with wood elves. Shooting is largely ineffective for about 2 turns, (stormbanner, the only saving grace is that his shooting effectiveness will also be affected) and more if he gets Howling warpgale. His cannons will shoot off your eagle nobles ...

Re: Top 5 heirlooms to keep?
Predictions:
1. Dragontooth arrows
2. That crappy winter sword
3. One of the useless horn things
4. Briarsheath
5. Starfire arrows
These are the only items I want in the new book, completely unchanged
