Re: Skirmisher or open order formation
I saw this trick with Dryads: 1-Keep Dryads in skirmish; 2- Get them charged; 3- Lose the charge, stubborn, fbigo; 4- After fbigo move, reform in Open Order and allign them as you wish, so that if your opponent wants to follow you he will allign himself on Dryads in a bad way, and he will expose hi...

Re: The FAQ we were waiting for but maybe it was better to keep waiting
I am happy that we got these things cleared up. Having unambiguous rules is more important than every ruling oing in our favour. But I don't understand the reasoning behind Bof of Loren. Having an expensive Lord being able to shoot several enchanted arrows hardly seems game-breaking. And I find it ...

Also no mentioning of AB from BoL or Asyendis Bane is combined with AB fra "counting as a Asrai longbow"... That would have been a great thing to get cleared up as well.

Re: The FAQ we were waiting for but maybe it was better to keep waiting
Q: The Bow of Loren allows a Wood Elf character to make a number of shots equal to their Attacks characteristic. How does this interact with Enchanted Arrows? A: When firing an Enchanted Arrow it is assumed the model is firing only once, as is the norm. Therefore, one of the shots fired from the Bo...

Page 141: Ward Saves A Ward save represents the magical protection offered by an enchanted talisman or suit of armour. The armour value of a Ward save will always be shown either in the description of the item that grants it, or in a special rule. Page 176: regeneration A model with this special ru...

Re: TOW: First thoughts on Deepwood Scouts
Awesome article mr. Godswearhats. Feels like a good foundation of the LEAF. Now go to special choices, theres a lot to say about them! Hoping to hear something good about Deepwood Rangers! I think the Wailing Arrow is not very points efficient, and likely I will never take it. It's 20 points for a ...

Re: Spites
Sure, A Befuddlement of Mischiefs could be good and An Annoyance of Netlings absolutely is. But it's still not a broad selection. 7 in total and then some are completely useless for some models. Seems like they just copied the old ones over, removed two good ones, and then did nothing. It's not like...

Spites
The more I think about them, the less I think GW thought about them. The amount, the cost and the abilities paired with Tree Spirit units just does not make much sense. It is literally impossible to use 100 pts on Spites for an Ancient. A Blight of Terrors and A Luminescent of Dispair are useless an...

So, a try at an allround list to use mainly against Brets, Empire and WoC Been tweaking for a couple of weeks :smoke: === Allround [2000 pts] Warhammer: The Old World, Wood Elf Realms === ++ Characters [660 pts] ++ Spellweaver [244 pts] -> Joining the Sisters of the Thorn - Hand weapon - Level 4 Wiz...

Re: Tell me about the concept for your army
Sounds awesome. Some kind of viking theme? [/quote] I suppose unintentionally? I just thought it would be cool to have wolves instead of horses, because everyone knows the mounts do more work than the riders almost ever time, and while an angry horse is rather scary, I wanted something even more bi...

Re: Tell me about the concept for your army
I have my wild riders (the old metal hair metal guys) on wolves, and my glade riders will eventually be on wolves too once they get a reprint. I've got my counts-as great stag hero on a big wolf, and I'll eventually sculpt up a ghosty wolf as a counts-as unicorn for my caster. the sisters of the th...

Re: Future releases - Wishlist
I only very rarely play with special characters. They can be fun, but too often they dominate a game to much - which I guess is the point of them... But it would be really cool to see some the oldies return What I'm really hoping for is several more magical bows, one use arrows, and an errata for Ho...

Re: Tell me about the concept for your army
I "never" take a tree as my general and my armies are never tree heavy. I feel more elf than tree. But I always try to find room for a Treeman, which is going to be easy with so few rare choices and the sever downgrade of Waywatchers... I really like the lore around Warhawk Riders, but the...

Re: TOW: First thoughts on Glade Riders
I haven't used Glade Riders seen 5th ed. when they were more knights than horse archers. So happy to finally see a use for them. They seem pretty good for their price point with both reserve move and enchanted arrows. Will deffinately be using 1 or 2 units at 2k

Re: Weak Units
Warhawks are awesome. Yes, they are more expensive than glade riders and less versatile than sisters of thorn, but so what? Who cares about that if you like their Californian style (surf and pick up chicks). Eternal guard are too squishy and expensive without any offensive output and tree-/kin/men ...

Re: Weak Units
I've never used warhawk riders because they look absolutely daft to me Yeah, some of those riders faces are pretty bad  it's not even the faces, it's the whole thing. it's the goofy vine-covered tights they wear more than anything else, but I also think the sculpts are really rough and cragg...

Re: Printing figs
Be aware, you need a good place to set this up. The resin is smelly, so ideally you want it in a garage or similar. However, it also really needs to be at indoor room temperature to print correctly. It is sticky stuff and requires a lot of clean up, so be prepared. 3d printing is a hobby almost to ...

Re: Weak Units
I really like Warhawk Riders. I like the theme, I like the strike and flee strats. But now the hawks have lost Killing Blow, the unit no longer has 3 wounds, they lost their attack and flee rule, and they are a tat expensive. So I'm not sure how, if or when to field them. Waywatchers have lost almos...
