Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
I quite like the fact that Ariel is mentioned, even if its only in the banner bearer's description - it implies she's still around, though, if she's actively making banners! ... scratch that, I just found the bottom of the document. She counts as a Spellweaver. The fact she's there at all is awesome...

Incisor - 20 points, Magic Weapon Drakira, Goddess of Vengeance, finds most of her followers amongst the Waywatcher Kindreds of the Pine Crags. A dour, focussed lot, the Nymraif often spend hours or days stalking their prey unawares before felling them with a single shot. Even they do not know the ...

Round bases will spell the death of any Skirmisher list that requires use of unit facings to stay alive, like... everything in the Wood Elf army.

Morris Dancing is the modern form of a traditional sword-dance practiced in some of the more rural parts of England. Lots of stamping and clashing together of sticks.

That's where they're best used, but ultimately any shooty unit can benefit from Poison. It's just that it may not be as effective against rank and file as Switfshiver or Trueflight, so units typically used to target rank-and-file like Glade Guard can be better off with those.

They can at least charge them and prevent them from firing, and it sounds like model count is at a premium for the OP.

Re: First game with wood elves over, second coming up
You're very character-heavy, which limits your ability to deal with hordes... but against Dwarves that won't matter so much. You might want to split your Waywatchers into two smaller units to have more freedom of targeting and lose fewer points/turn when someone about-faces to mash them. That said, ...

Re: Would this work? Forest Dragon Idea.
I was more referring to the line in the 4th edition Wood Elf book (I think it was 4th? Might have been 5th? I didn't actually track editions back then, it was the one that went with the Brettonians vs Lizarmen starter box) where it described them as "winding between the trees" and being &q...

Re: Would this work? Forest Dragon Idea.
Smaug looks more like a Forest Dragon than the other two - Forest Dragons are supposed to be more sinuous and wormlike than other Dragons, and Smaug's long neck and combined wings/arms give that impression better than the other two... who, since they're Forge World, are unlikely to be much cheaper t...

Anyone considering posting up an alternative timeline where the Wood Elves are the stars instead of the WHFB equivalent of the native Britons, go for it!
A great deal of fun can be had with such projects, much like they did with the Dornian Heresy and Roboute Rebellion over on B&C.

Heya. Hi there. Loved to fight you guys, now welcome to the woods. All hail the new King Malekith.
