Re: White Fang's Wood Elves

Very interesting scheme on the Forest Dragon. It's not as green as usual, but even more natural. The earthy colours are a great choice.

Re: Treeman bits

I used the loinclothes (why would a Treeman need those anyway?) for a BSB-banner. I may try and make another Treeman with the remaining bits, but I'm trying to level up my sculpting skills with a Troll-project first.

I don't feel the same at all. With pre-measuring everything is more like chess, not less. In competitive chess there are "correct" responses to your opponents opening game, just like our list building has to fit our metagame. People wanting to maximize their chances in tournaments will app...

Re: Git's Gallery and Asrai army blog

Thanks! I think the red-ish leather contrasts nicely with all the green, but for other purposes I agree it might be too red.
The Sisters were undercoated with black first, then white from an angle above them (fairly heavy for a second coat, since they were supposed to be bright).

Re: Dispel Scroll and broken concentration.

The wording for Dispel Scroll says "[...]can read it instead of attempting to dispel the spell by using dispel dice." I think the word instead means it replaces an otherwise possible attempt. If this wizard is incapable of dispelling normaly he or she cannot replace it with a scroll as the...

@Git ohhh man I can only imagine what that was like. The Welves were easy to do cuz of small unit sizes, but I do have a 200+ model skaven army in the wings somewhere... Did you use a similar method to mine? Just about the same. For some I only had cheap magnets that were wider and thinner, and had...

I think Beast might have been better if the Forest Spirits had not been so weakened. It certainly is better in combat heavy lists, and we can't do that well without S5 Treekin. Of course, a Wild Rider bus with 3-4 well kitted Glade Captains (missing the old spear that gave -1 to hit after wounding) ...

Cool colour choice! The vibrant colours on their heads sort of looks like fire, but not so much that it disrupts the look.

Re: First ever warhammer army need help!

Forum rule: Don't post individual item, upgrade or model costs. Totals are fine. I'd rather use Hagbane Tips and Arcane Bodkins on Scouts. Trueflight is good (I love them on my Glade Guard), but Scouts can move so that the enemy is out of cover most of the time anyway. Shoot war machines with poison...
