Re: New Blood Question -- Glade Guard
Why put 24 in a 6x4 when you can have 7x3 in your own forest?

Re: Phazael's Alamo Shennanigans-
Your characters are extremely vunerable. Most armies will be able to hit them. Best way for flimsy T3 characters like ours is to put them on foot behind some unit or building. Consider using a bodyguard of wardancers. Pherhaps split up the Glade Guard? Also the Wild Riders would be better off in 3 u...

New edition?
Hello, I have been ' out of the loop ' for quite a while now. Is there a new edition of WHFB comming out soon? I figured if there's new rules comming out within a few months, I will not bother with the current stuff and just wait for the new book. Also how will the WE/VC correspond with a new rulebo...

Re: Wood Elves rumours
Wood Elves shouldn't have much armour IMO, but it would be nice to have at least 1-2 decent sets of magical armour for heroes. It fits with the HE heritage I guess.
A true ward save is so much better then any armour in many situations.

Re: odd question...
There's a few opponents and a few builds Wood Elves definatly struggle against, mainly those found in super competetive plays ( high level tournaments etc ) but for casual play, Wood Elves can sometimes really do good. But it's a difficult army to play well!

Re: new to wood elves!
Subpar = subpar. You can't deny that Glade riders are a bad unit for their cost. It's not because you like them, or did good one or two times they're a good unit. I don't mean to get personal, but I really can't accept someone telling me I'm wrong saying one of the weakest, baddest units in all of W...

Re: new to wood elves!
A few tips: - Hawks, you mean Eagles or actually Hawks? Either way, use them as Eagles as they are the best unit in the entire WE army. Noble on Eagle can be a fun toy, various build outthere. They also got thoughness 4 with a recent rules change, which is awesome to have for an Elf :) - Glade Rider...

Re: empire demigriph trouble
Against the 2x6 Demigrpyhs: If you can not fight it.... then don't. Warhammer is not about overpowering your enemy, especially not for a weak army likes ours. First of all, try to focus all your shooting on a single unit. I'm not doing the math but you should be able to withle them down to managabl...

Re: 2500 all comers
You forgat your BSB. Seriously, with that many combat units, going without a BSB is saying : I don't want to win. Lore of Beasts is only worth it when you have several combat characters in a single unit. Use lore of Life, it's simply better. Raising Treekin is just fun. And just for the lore of life...

Re: Some beginner rules questions
3- As long as the scaly skin has not been FAQ'ed to be immune to the Lore of Metal effect, unfortunatly Treekin will be harmed badly by ' melting ' of their ummm branches? This makes lore of metal one of the best anti treekin and treemen lores. While it should logically be totally ineffective, but t...

They're not really efficient models... you can spare yourself money and a bad army by not buying them

Re: Preferred points level to play at
I actually find my Wood Elves to be at their best at 1500 points. 2000 works as well but not as good as 1500. But that's probably because how I like to compose and play my army.
