Hello Old friends, selling some stuff
Hey all. I'm so far out of the warhammer hobby it's ridiculous. Even if I was still playing, and not over GW's business decisions, I simply dont have time to hobby. Too much going on. I'm keeping my woodies, but thought I'd post here in the old stomping grounds to see if anyone might be interested i...

Re: Oh my god im so fed up......
On the flip side, 5 years ago people complained there was no Fantasy releases after 8th ed dropped and only 40k. We can't win it seems. AoS isnt fantasy Pops. They killed fantasy. I'm sure I'm not alone in the frustrations of someone who waited a long long *long* time for an updated Wood Elf army b...

"I'm going to use this one" and nightshroud
Hi guys Had my first two games with the new book yesterday. (I know, ABOUT BLOODY TIME) I really enjoyed it. Lost both games, but that was to be expected because it's me. Anyway the question I have is because my eternal guard were a great speedbump in game 1, so I put a noble in there game 2 to give...

Re: Wild Rider Death Count
did you factor in supporting attacks as only 1 attack?
Should have two fields 1 for how many in front rank, 1 for how many supporting ranks.

Re: Vamps a bad match up?
a suitable flank charge/rear charge should have those ghouls crumbling away once close combat hits. My opinion on the new books is not to rely on your shooting any more. The ideal unit to take vs undead would of course be wildwood rangers (extra attack vs fear causing critters) Vampires will always ...

Re: Versing Ogres 2000pts
If I remember correctly, moving onto the table for ambush counts as marching which means they can do *nothing* on the turn they arrive. There's a good chance that they can be shot/charged off the board before they get to do anything. In my list I've got 2x naked 10 man units. No special arrows. 10 m...

Re: 2500pt Combat list
I have no opinion on the list. i haven't played with my shiny new book yet.
But you seem to have accidentally posted this thread three times (check the portal page, you'll see what I mean). I'd recommend deleting 2 of the threads to help keep the forest tidy.

Re: Versing Ogres 2000pts
Why so many arcane bodkins? Surely ogres don't have that many high armour save units? Considering you'll probably want your glade riders ambushing from his side of the table, they're not a highly survivable unit, I would probably recommend cutting back on the extra 5ppm. That said, I still haven't c...

Thanks for spending so much time and detail on this. It is appreciated.
Although before I can write any more I've got to get back into the fluff of this new edition. Some things that I had in mind have been futzed with and I'm not sure I can tell the story I wanted to tell.

and it's not like I could march down to the store to complain. So it has it's drawbacks. I've since stuck to discounted Australian distributors as a safer bet, and of course Ebay, because they have certain guaruntees that must be upheld.

Re: AUS WELF BUYERS
Try your local coles. I believe they are on special all this week. Could be wrong.
As for the independant stockists in the US, I had a guy, but apparently GW caught on to him and he was refused stock. Or he used that as an excuse when he short changed me a couple of models.

Black Cultist in Australia also have some stuff often a bit cheaper than Milsims. I go apple store digital editions for the books, but only after buying itunes gift cards in bulk whenever they are at one of their 20% off sales (Coles had it on all this week for instance) which technically means I'm ...

just tried to find any clarification of this in the FAQ to no joy.
As of right now, Lore of Metal is no longer versatile enough to make it worthwhile in an all comers list. Interesting.

I opted to order through my LGS because they are serial complainers that not enough people order their gear through them. I turned in my order the day preorders went up. I found out Monday that they elected to wait to turn in the order to GW on the day they normally order GW stuff… Today… :thumbsdo...

I'm with our philosopher on this one, GWH. Although to be honest, I've stopped reading the rumour thread now. Theres a new post every 30 secs and its mostly doom and gloom. I'm *excited* for updated rules and new models! The rumour thread is actually bringing me down. Considering the other elf books...

Hello, friends! A bit of news re: our coming release. Here in Australia the GW website already says that the Magic deck is no longer available. I've since called my local store to guarantee a deck from them come Saturday with my name on it. I don't know about other countries but it might be a good i...

I hope so too. My first Wood elf purchase for my current iteration of the army is a converted weaver on Sulephet. I used her once and realised she was *way* overpriced
