Re: Asrai Post the Great Cull
I have played a couple of games of Kings of War with the elves, mixing me asrais and asurs. That is it. Everything feels so distant now.

Re: The Question Game
I do not think that is possible since today we are all wanderers cursed to constantly be on the move looking for our long lost home.

Which site will house us? I am already active on Ulthuan now and then, so I guess I could try and be a residing Ent grumbling on about lost fair Loren.

Re: Goodbye Asrai.org
I have shrinked back from my elves and from the woodlands too. However, I started to write a story about my beloved Raimie so the soul will live on. I understand your desicion, Naggie. It is so sad to see how our once fair and may I say civilized and gentleman site has faded. And a smaller army like...

Re: Any more Asrai left in these woods?
Problem is convincing my mate that is the case. Too much change from the 8th ed may scare some grognards too. And my two opponents are truly grognards. :( What is most annoying is that I will have to sit down with both my 8th ed book so I get all the sweet fluff and remember that this IS the Old Wor...

Re: Any more Asrai left in these woods?
Feels as if we are truly fading... Had GW given the AoS crowd something more than the WFB Battletomes, like releasing a proper list the AoS elves, we may have seen more life. 9th may kick in after a while, but maybe the tournament focus scare some. I do not know. I just wanna be in Athel Loren :tear:

Re: Any more Asrai left in these woods?
I really need to get some kind of game in soon. Be what it may. GW might have saved me to try AoS if they had just brought out new elves and not handed that lazy battletomes to us. The only redeeming thing was that they gave us chariots... I also realized I had lost so many Raimie stories with the l...

Re: Any more Asrai left in these woods?
Still around, friends of the forest! I got a new best friend that I have spent much time with. She have also suffered a string of true setbacks messing up her life including a recent divorce, she fell love with a guy who then shanked her and tried to get her out from the Homeguard Company we are Sol...

Re: AoS Strategy: Charge and Flee (sacrifice tactic)
Sounds like AoS just bring new materials for ruletwisters. I have not yet played, not having had time or rather the mental strength to pick and play with my minis again, but it does sounds like people keep on bending.

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
Friends, I think it is better not trying to find a way to balance this... game. GW clearly suggest that the way to balance is not to play against people abusing their "freedom". Then things are supposed to balanced out by itself is GW:s idea. GW do not want even remotely competitive player...

It means that even if the other player stops his drops and thereby the deployment the Chaos player can still bring in more minis that are wizards.

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
It is clear that GW truly want to driver away all who game even remotely competitively. Like I said, I am very soft but I like to do my best with my fluffbunny army. I also like to be able to have a game with gamers of different styles without having to going through a long haggle about what to take...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
Please, gentlemen! No need to fall out over this. I suggest you both take deep breath. What Aezeal points to is that the game does NOT fullfill the needs of many gamers who wants a competitive element. And despite being a cuddly fluffbunny as I am when my army is placed I intend to win or at least t...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
I may try this out with my son but my gaming buddy and I will stick to 8th and get KoW. The BIG problem with every model matters is scale. What you had was a game that represented battles between several hundreds or even thousands. Real field battles like the Fields of the Pelennor. AoS is about one...

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
It is very different. A bit of LOTR but simpler than LOTR. There you could do interesting things like shielding and stuff.
Still, for some fast and dirty action on the kitchen table it should work I guess. But Oldhammer and Kings of War is were the field battles remain today

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations
Indeed. It has to be connected with an eventual bigger game because it makes no sense otherwise. GW would not start removing army books and rule books from their shelves and doing all that for a simple stand alone game. And leave miniatures. No, it must be an introduction piece for something bigger....
