Re: Loading up the shopping basket - advice?
3 treemen...wow thats alot of points I would recommend a noble on a horse and maybe one wild rider (can be used as a noble or champion) to bring that unit up to two ranks and maybe some glade guard for scout/waywatchers...otherwise the only things your really missing are warhawks which I think you c...

Re: Who wants to learn to Mathhammer?
hmm...while I do understand how the opponent would factor in...I was only thinking of expected performance of our own units something along the lines of so many glade guard get so many shots with this much chance of hits and this many wounds at such a toughness we can expect this unit to take out th...

Re: Who wants to learn to Mathhammer?
My struggle has always been minimum and maximum effective unit size...example: unit x at x models with x amount of shots or x amount of attacks and how this affects the role they play in the army as a whole... might be a long write up for you though..but I see it as written for each unit and then de...

Re: The rules rule!!!
I feel your pain, I just lost a Treeman, to a warp lightning cannon shooting through a wood, damn true line of sight rules, these things happen from time to time, the great ones will tell us it was our fault for letting them get shot.

Re: please advise me: making heavy armoured gnomes
If I may..those models look awesome...I love the idea of a gnomish army...actually I had made some little gnomes (using warmaster dwarves)...they were kind of a heavy cavalry type rare unit...four of them on a cav base holding a big spear like a battering ram...inspired by the movie Willow, if anyon...

Re: Advise needed. Pegasus or hippogrifs as warhawks
I think the other horse head is a good idea, as well....I also think that this head would work with a little tweaking of the positioning... I often run in to the very same problem, for lack of a better term (there is not really any problems with these cool models), with making my conversions more dy...

Re: Frimbleglim's Work in Progress Conversions
first page..the mounted "Wild Rider" ..this is an Awesome conversion...what pieces is he made of...looks like glade rider horse and legs, is the whole head a corsair head or just details?...is that a high elf spear?...I might have to convert something a bit pazazz-ier....but it works...I l...

Re: Advise needed. Pegasus or hippogrifs as warhawks
I do not want to knock this work at all...I think it is BRILLIANT....(Are pegasus knights plastic?) but I do have to agree that there heads seem funky....I am not sure if adjusting the head/neck position is the best fix though...I might try to get the wings a bit more dynamic though, only because re...

Re: KB on Monstrous Mounts?
I think characters on monsters are immune to normal killing blow...this opens up the need for heroic killing blow...of which I believe the character on a monstrous mount and a character on a monster are not immune to...don't have the book in front of me right now but this seems logical

old edition eagle with talons in front with old griffon head, it is more dynamic with his mouth open slighly, with old demon wings (might be the same wings as the dark elf pegasus) this small maybe slightly expensive conversion makes some sweet looking eagles...maybe I will post mine someday...he is...

I thought if you have forest strider the killer forests don't eat you? it is my understanding that the strider rule means you do not have to take dangerous terrain tests from the specific terrain....as I read it most of the woods terrain does damage with out a dangerous terrain test making even the...

Re: A question from tonight's game
my thoughts... one unit wins combat against two units to its front...the two losers break and flee probably slightly at some type of angle or directly away from the winning unit...since the winner can only pursue (also slightly on some sort of angle) after one unit if the pursuit moves into the othe...

concerning our "free" woods
Everyone agrees that the asrai get a free woods in everyone (almost?) of the pitched battles listed in the BRB, not sure if the advanced scenarios are pitched battles...but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't pushing anything on any of my opponents...and I am sure this may have been discussed elsewh...

Re: Ap standard on archers ; again
That doesn't seem to be an argument against, but rather for the asrai also recieving an AP unit...elves are elves...am I right...that is the way I see it...I also think they might be giving out the Sniper rule to the asrai like candy on halloween, but that might be more wishful thinking.

Can WR Hero have a shield..and Army List
So here is a 2.5 army I put together, seems fluffy and includes all my favorite things...major issue right now is really whether my general can have a shield. I like his save with one but can't find anything as far as rules that says a wild rider kindred keeps or loses it, and the seems to be no dis...

Re: unit size in 8th edition
Wild Riders seem to have more of an advantage at 10, 2 ranks of five.....more of a warmachine target but harder hitting power on the enemies flank...don't have the book in front of me so can't give specifics why...someone can feel free to do that....just seems like a good unit size for 'em.
