You know, if you guys keep bringing out stuff like this, then my elves might just have to leave the aticc where they are currently in hibernation....

Re: 9th age Woodies are out! Lets discuss!
You're welcome Welshy. Asrai has of course been very quiet but there's been a little activity lately. Basically the UK tourney scene is split between 9th Age and AoS, with 8th edition and Kings of War (and even Darklands) also played. Darklands?? Could you elaborate? I was a very active 7th edition...

Re: 9th age Woodies are out! Lets discuss!
Hi Phil, thanks for the reply, I can see by your post count that you've been busy here! I normally browse in work, and TWF is blocked hence me asking here. Good to see there are still active gaming groups. 9th seems like a great idea, I will dust off my models and see if anyone wants a game. Iv'e be...

Re: 9th age Woodies are out! Lets discuss!
Hello everyone! I have a random question. I haven't played since 8th, due to end times and now age of sigmar....
But this new 9th age looks very promising. Are lots of people playing it, and how is the tourney scene??
Sorry if this is derailing the thread, just looking for a general idea.

Re: Goodbye Asrai.org
What sad state of affairs that a comunity of so many keen enthusiastic hobbyists have been let down by GW. How could they have messed it up quite so badly? Was it us, buying from cheaper manufacturers and from ebay? Asrai.org was where i was first able to really fall in love with the asrai, and wher...

Some dwarf questions
Hey, i posted this on TWF but have no replies yet, so if you know the answer to any of these questions please help me out!! Ok.... Thinking of buying some dwarf boxes to paint and to make some Mordheim bands. So.... In the GW dwarf Lonbeards/hammerers box, how many axes are there, and how many heads...

Re: Combat Wood Elves... MAKE IT WORK!
Combat wood elves would use the following: Eternal guard 24+ full command with blender type elf lord Dryads 24+ with 1-2 branch wraiths, spell weaver with dark, shadow or beasts Glade riders 10+ with flaming banner, command Wildwood rangers 18+, command, with shadowdancer w/ potion of strength and ...

Re: Combat Wood Elves... MAKE IT WORK!
I also think eagle characters would work well here. Add eagles and warhawk riders, maybe some sisters of the thorn, and you can harrass the enemy while marching up your blocks. Get your big units into favourable combats, then combo charge with your cav/flying characters. Shadowdancers to remove rank...

Re: What is the role of our combat heroes?
With the change to the list we'll have to do some minor revisions but old wisdom is usually best: There are 3.5 reasons to take a Glade Lord: Ld 10. Dragon. Magic Item Combos. and Fluff. I would argue 2.5 now.... With the ancient having LD 10 and being a large target, that is your go to choice for ...

Re: Forest Spirit rule changes.
Of course, the worst change is that Forest Spirits used as mounts don't grant a ward save, so a caster on a Unicorn is still made of paper. Yeah this made me sad too. Got so excited when I thought Dragons got a 6++! Not sure why they had to make this exception, it's stupid and makes no sense. What ...

Spanish rules suggest you swap each round.pip wrote:I wasn't sure where to ask this, or if it has been answered. BUT:
Is there any word on dance swapping? is it still required? if wardancers can hold one dance for multiple rounds they will be significantly better imo

Re: New Warhawk Riders
Mons cav uses the highest W but always the riders T. They combine the rules for stats from both Cav and Mons Beasts. Or am I wrong? It's page 85 If I remember it rigth... The latest main BRB FAQ changed this, to use the highest stat of either, so our warhawk riders, eagle riders and Great stag ride...

Re: Wood Elves rumours
Wardancers may not choose same dance twice in a row, or so i surmise from the text. Ancients only have 3 attacks. :( i think an ancient general seems useful. level 2 life. gith him the strangleroot attack, and keep him out of combat. or a super roadblock if needs be. he can heal his own wounds too. ...

Re: Wood Elves rumours
if you go to this twitter
https://twitter.com/FollowFurion
it says about al the rules.
5 points for no AS on glade guard, or 3 points for poison.
Makes havibg an uniot of each very viable, no??
One for monsters, one for heavy cav.

Re: Wood Elves rumours
Pics from WD are out and the rules for the thorn maidens are the same as rumoured. Won't get their 4+ ward vs miscast, but honestly thats fine considering warlocks are op. Reasonably priced too. I'm seeing a unit of 9 with a l2 singer with power of darkness to boost their javelins to s4, as quite a...
