I would say Sisters of the Thorn for your Eternal Guard are your next consideration. Mystic Shield, Shield of Boughs and Shield of the Thorn makes them unlikely to be moved.
Also a Spellweaver on a Purebread can keep up with the Sisters of the Thorn and heal them is a good choice.

Re: AoS 1000 point list!
(as per latest version of AOS app, tournament org in Prague allowed only those allowed by App) There are mistakes in the App (Slaanesh Herald on a Seeker Chariot has the wrong wounds count). I would hope they allow the books at least :S But I'm nit picking. I like the Nomad Prince as well. That lis...

Re: AoS Wild Hunt 1000points list
Good work! AoS is awesome! I concur. It really fell flat after a month here (mostly the people who were really excited got tired of the negative people) but a year later and the General's Handbook got a bunch of old guard back into it. Plus the power gamers left to play other games so it's just us ...

There are no restrictions.Gwill_of_the_Woods wrote:But I'm not sure about the shooting restrictions whilst remaining in combat.
If a model with missile attacks is in combat can it still fire at a different unit out of combat? Can it fire at the unit it's in combat with?
Yes.

On the flip side, 5 years ago people complained there was no Fantasy releases after 8th ed dropped and only 40k.

I agree with this.Nicholas Nitro wrote:I think 'fortress of boughs' just makes it so you cannot move in the movement or charge phases. That's how I've been playing it.

Re: Ideas for new Wood Elves AoS - Formation
Since now the Sylvaneth are a separate and independent army, with their own formation, I'm not sure how getting a formation makes them separate and independent when they are literally in the same army book. Minotuars, Gors and Ungors all got their own formations in the Beastmen book and no one is s...

Re: AOS Wood Elf units, strengths/weaknesses
To the same effect if you are not a WFB veteran what is stopping you taking 3 Beastmen BSBs so your Gors auto wound? Nothing. I own two of the limited edition army box Beastmen BSBs, there is one reason I cannot take both and have my Gors wound on 2s, re-rolling 1s, or my Bestigors Auto-wounding. Th...

Re: Branchwraith Spam
I just heard about that argument today on Heelenhammer's first podcast about summoning. It is,.. curious,.. but I don't think that is RAI. It might be something I do while playing WoC/Beastmen slaanesh to summon a couple Daemon Slaanesh units. I feel the Social Contract will mitigate summoning spam....

You can also add Spawn bitz to it to make creepier woods.
Also given you get some pretty sweet rules why wouldn't you buy the kit to thank GW for making something part of your army and give it great rules.

Re: AOS Wood Elf units, strengths/weaknesses
As an example: You can stack +1's to your save roll, for example by having mystic shield and being in cover for a total of +2 to your save roll, which makes sense, however stacking from more than one mystic shield seems a bit weird, I'd argue that mystic shield gives +1 regardless of how many times...

Ah okay makes sense.
Also I was reading the warscroll for Dryads, are you implying you take a unit of Dryad Champions? That would be a separate Warscroll. Where are you seeing it? The wording for Branchnymph is singular.

There is no overrun. So your opponent cannot hit your hounds, wipe them out and overrun into Orion.
So having it in your toolbox is handy.

Yeah the rule of 'don't be a douche' is key here. I'm looking forward to "social contract" picking up steam rather than call people "douches" who may or may not know they are playing in an OP manner. Remember kids who are 13 may really like Stormfiends or Warp Lightning Cannons.

Re: New formation for the Wood Elves?
It is just a formation with bonuses much like every other army has.
For example: Khorne Cohort (khorne daemons have not been separated from the daemon book) and Minotaurs (which also have not been separated from the Beastmen).
