I'm up to about ten games of AoS. I'm just not a fan. I can't quite elucidate what it is, but it isn't fun at all for me. I was never even a hugely competitive player either. Oh well...
Wonder if Kings of War is any good....

Well I'm no bandwagon person, but then again this new book has me playing not just wood elves, but fantasy in general for the first time in months. If it can bring more people so much the merrier, it's a big forest

Re: Fine cast warning
Lol, I don't think anyone would rather stuff bends, but after so long with plastic I'm used to it. Plastic seems to bend about the same as the finecast stuff at least from my experience.

Re: Fine cast warning
Huh... I left my finecast stuff in the car on a day it was 115 degrees fareneheit just sitting in the passanger seat in the sun and nothing happened to them. They got a little more bendy but nothing really bent out of shape. Admittedly I did feel like an idiot for doing that, but I seem to have got ...

It may once have been, but GW started selling these guys again(including that dragon of yours for 15.50).
It's under Warhammer Fantasy > warhammer collectors > miscellaneous.

Re: Competitive WE without treekin ?
I don't run treekin and I seem to do fine. Usually I run around in circles and try to shoot things, it's not the most reliable option, but that's all I have. I run 2 units of 12 glade guard, and 1 unit of 20 regularly with two units of 10 dryads to deal with flank stuff. Add in a few wild riders to ...

Oh dear, those are the exact lines I showed him. *sigh* This is one of those rule debates that ends with shouting, always the best.
Thanks for the help guys.

8th ed common magic items
So I was running another fantasy event at the local game store as I have for almost a year now, when one of my players comes up to me and asks why he can't use the magic items in the BRB. I, very confused, said of course he could. Then he opens his rulebook, Armybook: Beastmen, and it says" Bea...

Re: SO, there's this dwarf walking 'round the forest...
Ye gods! Whoever knew a dwaf's breath smelled worse then his exterior. Ahh well if Oberon Hazelheart let you in, he can deal with you himself. I'm going where the smell hangs less heavy(though where in all the forest that might be, I do not even begin to guess). In a more serious tone, welcome! Alwa...

You know, I don't get that complaint. I've yet to lose against DoC and typically do well against WoC... Why are they so broken? It was mostly a joke, as if the player isn't particularly decent you can absolutely still beat them. The main reason I said it was because absolutely everything in their a...

Flying Mounts and Shooting
So my friend and I started talking about a High Elf Prince on Star Dragon with a magic bow, when we stopped and wondered if he could march and shoot. After looking up the fly special rule, and then the characters on ridden monster special rule, it does appear to be that he cannot. The fly rule doesn...

I'll go with #3 please. And my main defensive point will be that the Empire actually got a points increase. But to be fair, I don't really think it matters, I like the game and the game changes.

One would assume most highborn families who are of the more stable kindreds are the producers, and it's probably some sort of forest berry based instead of grape based.

No merely that simply knowing people isn't equatable with knowing what's happening/going to happen. It could be your acquaintance is entirely correct, and if he is cool. But it's still a rumour, and those should always be taken with a grain of salt. In addition we, or at least me, don't seem to have...

I've had a great success with 18, (6x3). Let's you get quite a few into combat and still suffer a wound or three from shooting.
